Sportsmanship, it's a good thing

Got around to watching the second half
5
big thing here was situational and spacial awareness. Always think about where you will go if things go south. You were holding your own but when they finally decided to push they hit you on all three sides and you had nowhere to go. Either run with your team or have a plan.
6
again watch the mini map. Ambra, Rath, and Caldi were all chasing you as you ran past Oscar Mike and to the sentry.
7
Ran a little too deep in a 3 on 2. your Ambra dying should have been the cue to back off. But you got a kill so it’s an even trade. :slightly_smiling_face:
8
Try not to focus to heavily on one target if they don’t pose an immediate threat. Try not to run backwards if you don’t know what’s behind your back. Focus more on where his team would realistically be coming from.
9
I know you wanted that kill but sometimes it’s not worth it
It’s only worth dying for a kill if you can take out a carry or a healer.
10
If healing isn’t immediately available when your close to spawn and at low health teleport back to base. Pay attention to your team and don’t jump behind enemies if you don’t have back up. Otherwise just Deande being Deande.

Sorry about your team too they weren’t much help either
Practice makes perfect and good on you to take the opportunity to reflect on what you need to improve on. You learn more from a loss then a win and if you can look past the frustration of losing and focus on what did or didn’t work, you’ll get a lot better in no time. :+1:

I run either a cheap load out to power level which consists of free shard gen and wrench with either bolas target finder or lorrian skill spike for late game.

My standard orendi build is shard gen with bolas target finder and firmware update which gives you great synergy with preamble of pain and potentially about a 30second cool down on pillarstorm.

I don’t know how many times I’ve gotten a full +5-6 skill chain because of that beautiful combo. It’s how I got my first penta.

Getting stomped is not the only way to learn.

Agreed. I’d go so far as to say getting stomped is exactly how someone DOESN’T learn.

You can’t learn when you can’t even figure out how/why you’re losing.

Hey guys, just scored a 26! 10 kills and only 5 deaths! I was the highest score out of both teams, just from staying with my team rather than running around rogue. Thanks for all the insights.

Congrats buddy, looksl ike your on track.

On the jumping and aiming (im on Xbox), not sure how I manage it (just tried thinking about it), but I can move, jump, shoot and use abilities on the standard layout, so it is possible

I cant seem to put it together in my head how I am doing this though, I will need to be more aware next time I play. Maybe I could get some benefits from swapping stuff about

Jumping and aiming at the same time is what we’re referring too.
Characters like Caldi, who require you jamming on the jump button constantly, gain a lot from being able to aim with the stick at the same time. You can only do that with a remap

I shall have to take your word for it, till I try it anyway

Also just to clarify, I was aware that’s what you were referring to.

Ah gotcha
But yeah it’s physically impossible to do them at same time (sans using multiple fingers). You could switch back and forth as quickly as you can but you can’t have your thumb on A and right stick At the same time.

Nope. You can change how ýou hold the controller- you remap your hand if you will.

I use my index finger sometimes to jump while aiming and firing with my middle. It’s called the Claw.

That’s what I meant
Trigger with your pinky seems painful

That must be what I do, honestly I have never thought about it :grinning:

However I am running a Scuff, so I could map the A button to my right switch

Us humans need to evolve better gaming hands!

Ah, the good ol’ claw. Gears of war taught me this. Wall bouncing, dodging, and aiming all at the same time. Good times.

pinky? that would be tough. The claw isn’t hard though. Its weird at first, but not uncomfortable.

Or buttons on the backs of controllers

I use an elite controller, and I love having the jump button on an underside paddle. My only complaint is that after just under a year of use my right thumbstick drifts up. Still, it made spry sprite spray on thorn so much easier I started using the setup for everyone

I’m a pro SSBM player, so I can make my hands do anything.

I use standard controls and have no trouble jumping around and aiming.

That said I’m willing to try a re-map.

Nice
You have a casual and pro main?
Oh and DO a remap
It’s not a must but it helps quality of life a ton on certain characters
