Stop casual stomping, it's despicable

Fortunately there are always two sides for each coin and there are people out there who play premades and if faced against teams clearly below their skill level, they either A) Back off and play a lot more relaxed, trying not to penalize the new players for bad mistakes or B) Play a bit and surrender if needed.

Unfortunately there are also those who haven’t grown up enough and do the complete opposite, feeling the need to boost their ego with clearly fixed games. If theres justice, and a good small community is good for this, they’ll be labelled as bad/toxic players and people will simply stop playing with such players.

You’re not breaking any forum rules here as far as I can see. This is first in hearing of this sort of behavior, but I’ll certainly look into it.

My group tries to do exactly what you say @danielsilvanet we will also try to invite them to party after if we have room if not we gg and continue. We even have certain rules we impose on ourselves depending on opponents. Other premades though try hard pants get put on.

@Slif_one I played against that team just after playing against your group. Our team quit real quick. I hate that spawn camping crap, it’s the epitome of CoD gank masters. Maybe they could make the plates go back to neutral after 10 secs with nobody touching them?

Sooner the better.

PvE has so much potential in this game. Presently it’s very infant, and originally I was going to buy the game for PvE, where as I got more into PvP as it went by. They could actually build PvE into a very competitive game. But there are too many timed instances which hold back speed runs for leader boards etc.

I compare a lot of the missions to Destiny like Strikes. But we are kept within such specific boundaries because of the link with PvP, the game isn’t allowing us to move on, get better, faster. I’d love to see PvE gear which would allow for higher DPS and better builds. There could be more modes and ranked systems for teams to compete daily, weekly, monthly events.

Like with Diablo, you can go from Torment 1 to 10. Keep pushing the boundaries with gear in Rifts. Why couldn’t we have higher levels to play against in the missions? Gearbox have to remember that end game content is what keeps people pushing, progress. As it stands, it’s fairly mundane. I enjoy the missions, but i’d like more reason to do them.

Thanks for your response, I don’t know how many people actually do this but this group and other members of their teams are known for doing it very frequently. This was the first I’d experienced of it, but I know it happens often and there are more than just this group who do it.

Worst part is I have to assume you are hallways decent I’m xbone so not sure as well as you at least had more experienced players. Would hate to see what happened to the 5 man randoms.

This is what I worry about. I usually always play with my brother and we win much more often than we lose… but when we go against these good teams… oh man do we get beat down. I can only imagine what the people that I beat down previously go though match to match. They may never win!

Go get 'em, Joe!

Will the developers be making any changes to any of the maps that currently allow spawn camping?

Well, now he knows; so that’s half the battle, right there.

This. Try new characters, new loadouts, different builds or composition, no need to completely stomp everybody with your best characters and composition.

Lol the tryhard pants, they get tight after too long, but some people seem to like wearing tight pants, we all need to take a leaf out of Derch’s book :stuck_out_tongue:

They stream it on Twitch all the time, it’s painful to even think of, being in that game though there was nothing that could do as we weren’t wearing our tryhard pants. They rounded us up like sheepdogs rounding up, well, sheep, sure it was smart play but it’s unwarranted against “casual” players who just want to level up a new character or play for the enjoyment of playing. I do get competitive sometimes when I don’t mean to and nobody likes to lose, but I’ve never done anything like this even in games where it would have been a possibility it’s simply unnecessary and takes the fun out of the match.

I’m not sure what the problem is here. Casual is pretty much the same as competitive the only difference is ELO.

If anything this is just a massive oversight from GBX. Anyone who has ever played a MOBA or an online game knows this is a massive problem. That’s why you generally you only allow people to queue solo or as a small group. If you want to queue as a group then you queue as 5 and get matched versus other groups as 5. This is a “solved” problem.

Do you honestly think this was any different before the matchmaking change?

@JoeKGBX I’d be interested to hear why this would be considered a problem considering how the game is set up.

Note: I’m not saying I agree with the behavior, far from, but I don’t exactly see the problem either. Especially since it’s been like this for a while. And this should never be a reportable offense.

Uhhhhhh such things are exactly the reason I´m overthetop-anxious to join PvP in general >.<
Nothing against loosing to better players, but at least with some fair fight… This behaviour is just sad and malevolent…

Is it against forum rules to try and kill others with your mind or to recruit others to pray to elder gods for their demise?

I don’t see anything specific in the rules but it could be infered and you know how mods be doin wat dey do.

OK while I agree with this in spirit. When taking to extremes it then becomes harassment which is very much reportable. Have I kept people in base yes I have its the best capture strategy, is it a dick move yes and eventually I just quit helping and go mess around.

Also @ganjamira when you gonna join up for some pvp or pve action hardly ever see you online and when you are in don’t see you on battleborn.

Nahh @crummysaint as long you summon the dark forces quietly in private our whitemages will not interfere.

@pizzonage Hehe, thats Youtube running while I work. Tried to close my business for BB, but I need the bucks >.<
Also I train the last weeks in private PVP, at least I know the sights then when I get stomped  What timezone do you live in anyway?

PS: all offtopic, sorry for that^^

Did you even read the OP? I almost feel like you meant to post in the other thread. What was described is called “griefing”. Basically a tournament team queuing up to shoot fish in a barrel. Spawn camping is not a strategy.

I’m sure there were teams doing this beforehand, but the problem is obvious: This is the casual playlist. They’re a competitive team using competitive tactics against low ranked players, players of lower skill or newer players, players who want to queue solo or just learn the game in a relaxed environment. Hence, casual. There is a competitive playlist for these sorts of teams playing in this way. They stay on the casual playlist and do this game after game. Yes I’m not low level and I was matched with some other high levels players but we weren’t playing to stomp we were playing casually. They do this to lots of low level players, some under CR10 who have just started out. How is a random group of new players supposed to compete against this, how is the playerbase supposed to expand when this happens? One bad experience like this is all it takes for some people to stop playing. I’m not sure how you don’t see the problem here.
