Stop charging us for respawns

QA: cause New-U stations are not a lore thing, it’s only game mechanic.

Not true. Lorelai in Borderlands 3 references them. She mentions that she had thought about using a New-U to give herself a new identity, letting it digi-struct her a new body.

What mission?
But still, it’s not canon.

Hyperion can’t respawn anybody who dies in a cutscene. :dukecheese:

  1. If it’s in one of the games, it’s canon. Period, end of story.
  2. I just heard it again a couple nights ago. I’m reasonably sure she says it in one of her Echo Logs that you find on Promethea after you first meet her.

yeah remember when tiny tina put all of the vault hunters from bl2 into a dnd like game…good times…

Money is irrelevant. I gave my mate who just bought the game 40 million earlier lol

because the new u station is owned by hyperion, and handsome jack killed him, stands to reason that jack removed his dna.

I’d like to buy some Hyperion stock, they should be doing alright with their New-U line of business…

clearly never played a game before xD

There are more games out there that don’t charge for respawns than do. That said, the games that actually have a respawn feature mostly have some kind of downside.

In TPS there are also Dahl New-u/medvac stations. Also even though it was mentioned in 1 audio log, the writers have always previously claimed that New-U stations are not canon.

Despite in-game references and explanations of New-U stations, Borderlands 2 head writer Anthony Burch has confirmed that New-U stations are not canon, and do not exist as far as the plot of any Borderlands game is concerned.

yeah, after all, why would jack be mad that his daughter died…if she could respawn

Don’t forget that time Jack had the vault hunters kill themselves for cash. Good, good times.

or that time tina killed them all with a dragon at the beginning of a campaign

Or trapped them in that dungeon forever.

Well too bad Maya never took the time to do the tutorial and get an Echo 3.
She must of had an Echo 2 instead.
And the Echo 2 is a white grenade mod now. Soooooo… That’s why she couldn’t respawn.

ah, now interesting thought
End game spoiler

We know sirens transfer their powers upon death to another individual by choice or chosen, so if as Angel dies, he skills pass to Tannis. Would Angel resurrect with no powers

That was hilarious…

I love this quest and the one in 3. So obviously designed to produce agonised and utterly unprofitable debate about logic and canon
