Stopgap shield bug?

When using Deathless artifact (1hp, +100% shield), the stopgap never proc’s i just die the moment the shield breaks.
Is this due to the way damage is calculated or just an oversight by the Devs for the interaction between the items?


It’s because any damage taken greater than your shield on break dips into your health pool. The stop gap effect only takes place AFTER the damage taken to break the shield is subtracted from your shield and health pool. So since you only have 1hp, any damage taken that was greater than your shield when it broke will down you, and the effect will not have the chance to activate.
