Guys, good morning, i play borderlands 3 in lenovo ideapad 320 the settings bellow:

8 gb ram
intel core i5 7200u with 2.50 ghz up to 2.7 ghz
Nvidia geforce 940 mx with 2 gb
Hd 1 tb

the game is stuttering, especially when I face enemies, anyone have this problem too? anyone can help me? I looked at several solutions on the internet and none worked

Moved you to the right section. It would help if you could list what you’ve already tried for this issue.

I have a slightly better computer, 970, i5-4690k @ 3.5, and I’m getting the same issues as well as ten minute load times. I just think the game won’t run for us anymore

i sad for this, i love all games of borderlands, i play with sttutering. i tried these solutionses and none worked:
Increase Performance in Borderlands 3 (2020 Tips) (ghostarrow.com)

Going on rough benchmarking, your CPU is a bit slower than my old CPU (I built a new PC with a new CPU less than two weeks ago):

The i5-3570K is also the minimum recommended CPU to play the game with. The stuttering is unlikely to go away - I had it the entire time I played BL3 (from release) with my i5-3570K.

The game seems more CPU-bound than GPU (though it uses both evenly according to my own PC tests recently, if there’s no bottleneck on either component). 8GB RAM is a bit on the low side (BL3 can easily use 6 to 8GB by itself - again, 6GB is the recommended minimum). Your GPU also looks below minimum spec as well.

tl;dr: stuttering is a sign of hardware bottlenecking, and most / all of your laptop components are either very close to the minimum specs for this game, or beneath them.

I had a little less stuttering when I played the game on Linux. It did take 2 hours for my PC to compile the vulkan shaders tho.

try lowest graphical settings and set renderresolution to 50%, thats how i had to play on my old pc

I too suffer from fps stuttering. Always have but have recently lost my patience with it. Since I know next to nothing about laptop parts what are thoughts on mine:

Intel Core i7-10750H 2.6 GHz
Nvidia GTX 1660-Ti (Mobile)
Corsair Vengeance SODIM DDR4 2666 C18 2x16GB
Kingston OM8PCP3512F-AI1 512GB

I’d prefer to keep playing but I also want to uninstall it and forget about it until something else comes out. I tweak the graphic settings every now and then only making it worse every time. At the lowest resolution scale the game is still frustrating to play.

Settings are currently at 50% resolution scale with everything set to their lowest or off and the game stutters like it always has. Frames go from ~60 to ~40fps at rest with no enemies and hands off the keyboard. In a gunfight its ~40 to ~20fps. Slaughtershaft and the like are off limits for me.

Again I don’t really know computer parts so if my set up sucks I’ll live with it but I’d like to know it sucks. I’ve had a few friends tell me I should be able to run certain games “smooth as butter” but my firsthand experience doesn’t match. I’m at the end of my rope here. I’ll probably just uninstall it for now until my frustration goes away and I forget about the stutter but it’s been a struggle trying to enjoy things lately. I’ve lost my patience with the minor issues on something I was told would be a breeze.

There are many things that can cause stutter. One thing you could check which I don’t see listed is the settings in the Social menu: I recommend turning social notifications to minimum or off, and making sure the echocast extension is off unless you are actively using it.

I went through and turned off social notifications, echocast is off, I made sure I am on the lowest settings while playing around at different resolution scales. It might have helped Eruilluvitar but I cannot notice a difference in the stuttering.

I’ll just deal with it if/when I play Borderlands. At this point I’m just sad at the little things. I have played the game a ton and have enjoyed it. I have just lost patience with the small inconveniences is all. I’m sure I’ll play it again in the future.

I’ve just been reminded that there’s a setting you can add to the BL3 executable, -NOTEXTURESTREAMING, which has helped reduce stuttering for some. It will likely mean longer map loading times, since all textures must then be pre-loaded. No guarantees that it will work for your specific configuration, but it’s likely worth trying if you haven’t already done so.

IIRC you can do that in Windows through the Properties pain for the bl3.exe. I believe you should be able to do the same thing through whatever launcher you have the game running from? Example:

Playing the game with the -NOTEXTURESTREAMING seems to smooth out the frames during the general play which is nice. Much appreciated. There is a minor stutter that occurs when an enemy is ported/zapped in such as when cartel enemies are spawned in via the beacon or enemies are spawned by the twins.

Overall I’d say this helped me a bit. Load times are noticeably longer but that doesn’t bother me any as long as the gameplay run smoothly.
