I’ve noticed that those certain ammo chests unique to DLC2 seem to only ever contain AR and grenade ammo. My FL4K does a lot of Amach farming, using a Jakobs shotty as a primary weapon, and all those same chests in that area of Cursehaven never have shotgun ammo… I have to open up cardboard boxes, lockers, etc to get shotty ammo. Noticed this while farming Tom and Xam too.

Good one!

They do have the cutpurse which ive learned to farm with better stats. Cutpurse launch pad is underutilized by players. I wonder if cutpurse slide relics do stuff too?

yes, slam and slide counts as melee hit.

like a frozen snowshoe effect also triggers if you slam.

Then id really say its an evolution that players arent realizing/utilizing. I live with a cutpurse something on now at m10. I never have ammo problems anymore.

yeetubers need to get on it n spread the word.

They should allow slam at the height of jumps regardless and give gaurdian ranks some other crap.

yeah, if you have a frozen snowshoe with shield amp anoint and you got a launchpad, it will break your shield, heal it, give you amp and froze enemies (if you got a cutpurse it will give you ammo as well).

but that is not the topic we are we anyway, lol

I miss that alot.

(What I don’t miss from BL2: the slag mechanic.)

Oh wait, here’s a big one (for me):

Damage type numbers that are easily distinguishable at the slightest glance. In previous games, there was no doubt what kind of damage or DOT was being laid… corrosive numbers very green, shock very blue, etc.

I’m going to get a lot of heat for this but I actually miss slag sure it was implemented poorly with the bullet spongy enemies making you feel like you have to use but, I mean it was a debuff element which paired with any other damage source which was really dope. I wish instead of getting rid of it completely they would nerf it so it would feel like its more take it or leave it. Maybe they could make it so only action skills benefit from the slag or something give it more narrow of purpose instead useful for everything.

I agree. Slag was OK in normal and TVHM as something nice to have (but not necessary) to really pile on the damage if you wanted. But yeah it was just in UVHM/OP levels that it became almost required and kinda became burdensome.

Items like the needle gun and it’s piss show that debuffs can exist in B3. Slag could be changed to some kind of debuff effect, as long as it doesn’t become necessary to use, or give such a big benefit that everyone feels they need it.
Hell, just have it increase critical hit damage, or teammates damage, or DoT damage, or whatever. So, slagging an enemy is useful, especially in co-op (when they sort it out better), but not too OP.

Cryo and rad are great. Use them, they help. Don’t use, no biggie.

Slag at OP8 was certainly something one had to plan for in one’s load out but you could still get by not slagging basic targets. OP10 made it necessary for pretty much everything. Screw OP10.

It still seems like the game wants you to quick-swap to apply multiple elements though. And I’m quite ok with that.

I liked the slag. Obviously the Grog Nozzle resolved all of that issue with Sal, but for every other character, including him, you just needed a Magic Missile (x4). Granted I beat UVHM many times with multiple characters before getting one, but if you are going to complain about slag…get one and all your complaints are over.

Like others, I seriously missed the Vault Symbol hunting. That was definitely a way to make me to poke around into every nook and cranny and “see the world”. I hadn’t even thought about the flag poles and the quality side missions but everyone is spot on with those as well. Dedicated farming is most missed. It’s work, but the payoff is satisfying…not the tear jerking frustration of farming hours/days to get that perfect _____ …only to have it roll with an anoint for the wrong character.

I quit playing BL3 a month ago for many of the reasons people are down on it, and I’ve been non stop on BL1 Remasterd- of all things. Farming the way farming should be done. Getting 100% trophies…and just enjoying the game again. This thread is now putting me in the mindset to get back to BL2. I’m sure I can dig up a few things I want to do.
