I think the first thing to do here, is to understand why there is quitting.
Peoples who quit because they’re losing badly is one thing. But currently, there is a lot of peoples who quite far earlier than that and for a complete different reasons.
And why it could be a good idea to punish those who really quit because they’re loosing (I would rather something else than punishing directly but that’s up to debate) I also think that it’s very important to deal with the problems currently leading to peoples quitting earlier than that rather than punishing them.
Because if you deal with those problems, then you will remove -or at the very least reduce a lot - those cases.
This is directly relevant to threads talking about not being able to leave when you’re still at the character selection screen and that your character has already been taken, for example.
There is a need to address those problems as this will drastically reduce the early disconnect. And THEN when it’s done, we can start talking about "punishing’ for the behaviour of quitting.
Until then, I cannot agree.
