If you quit to main menu, and reload the game you will have 2 to 3 times the cooldown length.

I literally and not zoomer use of literally, I ACTUALLY will not. After you said that, I signed out, closed my game, reopened my game, hopped back on Moze, went back into the Takedown, and my cooldown was the same.

There is a different CD if IB gets destroyed than if the CD ends naturally. If you hop out of IB and throw a grenade (like I did) your grenade should/will proc Grizzled if you get a kill or Explosive Punctuation. That and IB is firing a FULLY AUTOMATIC SPLASH DAMAGE GUN. Both of these things are demonstrated at different points in this video, I’m pretty sure.

Since you commented almost immediately and it hasn’t been 27 minutes yet, I’m assuming you didn’t watch it.

This is not a glitch. I don’t know what is so hard about this for you to understand. If you go to the end of the video, my gear and build are shown.

Turns out building CDR happens to be pretty good if you use a build expressly based around your action skill.

I keep seeing this. I must be lucky, I’m PS4 and shield always deploys after about 2-3 seconds.

I’ve been running close to this same build and although 3-4 in Grizzled is decent I get all my cooldown from class mod/artifact and GR/Topped Off.

You kinds don’t want to go down to far in Demo bc Moze needs that gun damage from SoR and she also needs to get down Mags for Bear Damage.

I would love to see the Wotan kill. I’ve been running a nearly identical build for quite a while and Wotan is literally the only thing I can’t do on M4. Then again I kinda did stop playing about a month ago.

Awesome job brofer!

Ive been running a nearly identical build for a while except I go SFtR>Matched Set.

I ended up with 3 in Griz and no EP(just cooldown on mod and relic and topped off).

My weapons are a bit different and I was lucky enough to get a Multivitamin w health/shield annoint.

Nicely done video tho I would still love to see the raid boss kill. I know it’s doable, I’ve been very close, just stopped playing but would be interested to see your strategy of what you do in the downtime and such.

Good job!

Ron Bear 4 Lyfe!!

@Mahtyo did you see this bruv?

There is a very good reason why you are struggling with the Wotan kill and that is because killing Wotan with Iron Bear is basically antithetical to what any rational player should be doing.

We have all seen this chart. The explanation is self explanatory. Almost all of her bonus damage is Fire, almost all of that damage is useless. Iron Bear does the exact 2 types of damage you don’t want to do against Wotan.

I use 0 damage anointments (besides shock ASE on this most recent 27 minute long half-run) and thus I’m not even doing nearly as much damage as possible AND there was a negative modifier.

Never have I said, anywhere, that this build is the best for bossing, or takedown, or Wotan…but it IS capable of doing it. Takedown itself is actually easy up until the Deathspheres. Takes longer, but much easier to do (until then) than on Zane or Fl4k who are much stronger comparatively.

Yuh, pretty cool!

Not sure if you are replying to me or not but yeah I’m fully aware of everything you just said-Im one of like maybe 2-4 Mayhem 4 Ron Bear fanatics around here.
I’m aware of elemental resistances and Mozes shortcomings. I’m also, painfully aware that Bear is not the best build for raids.

I’m also not doubting you. I know it’s possible. I’ve had wotannto last phase several times and am positive it is doable, I just haven’t been playing as much lately(if at all). I was just commenting to say well done and I was curious of what strategy you employed at Wotan during AS downtime.

But yeah, again, good job! And nice vid.

Speaking generally. Some people rather believe instead of Iron Bear actually being decent, that Moze (or more specifically IB) is so bad that I MUST be abusing a glitch.

Iron Bear is probably one of the better mobbing builds for general content since soloing Takedown is an optional challenge and it will absolutely dumpster anything outside of Takedown.

It can.

Yeah, I’m not sure. I know with stacking cooldown on my class mod and relic then GR/Topped Off then cooldown skills I can get cooldown to around 27 seconds but that’s the best I can get it too.

Not trying to clickbait you, but if you go to 4:56 in the video you can see me hop out of Iron Bear. You can also tell that there is a CD and that it’s more than 5 seconds. I immediately throw a grenade and hop into Auto Bear turret. I’m in Auto Bear until 5:17. I hop out of Auto Bear and I have 1 second of CD time left.

So about 21 seconds total in video time. Effectively, 1 second, since I couldn’t get hit during any of that time because of the i-frames from Auto Bear’s turret and it self sustained with Vampyr/Explosive Bullets/Raging Bear.

This is why this is an actual build and not just something every other Moze is doing. This is also why the build is Takedown capable without damage anoints and basically circumvents Moze’s survivability issue.

If anyone is curious, this is also why I didn’t mention any guns in the video, because I hardly even use my guns. The guns that I did have were coincidental, I don’t play Moze.

Iron Bear, by itself, is pretty good. It gets better if you deliberately build around it. It gets even better when you learn how to take advantage of Moze’s strengths like being able to dodge damage with her action skill and Dakka Bear.

When you use that to your advantage, you basically have no action skill CDR, because your action skill is always on the field, one way or another.

I don’t think Moze or IB is bad at all. I always say IB builds are capable of content only that IB centric builds are lacking compared to Moze centric builds. The other thing I will say is that Moze lacks in sustain options. If you don’t have the very difficult to find CMT then the grenade regen becomes lacking in many situations which dampens her only heal option significantly. These are the things I point out and never say neither Moze or IB is incapable. I was only commenting on the 8-10 second cooldown and saying that CMT is common, which is a stance I still stand by. Also saying it’s takedown capable to me would mean that you can do the whole raid this way including completing the boss fight with it, which you admittedly can’t, which proves the point that while “decent”, still lacking.

Read the post directly above this. Watch the video.

Afterwards, in practice and not on paper, tell me what the difference is between having a 21 second CD and a 1 second CD.

It only matters if Iron Bear dies, or you die, in which both would be a problem anyways.

I did not say CMT was common in the sense that it drops often. I do not need to refer you to the thread that summarizes my feelings about drop rates. I said CMT is common as it is the most common grenade in Moze builds, which I feel like if you did a poll would prove true.

Also I can kill Wotan with this build. I didn’t. Those are two different things. I’m not Senza. This is not a challenge video. I don’t know where this weird elitist perspective is coming from. No one has to do Takedown and me deliberately making this build with the ability to do Takedown in mind, if anything, is a service.

This is a fun build video for people who want to use Iron Bear but haven’t, or were mislead into believing it wasn’t good, to enjoy. This isn’t me claiming anything about its efficacy for killing Wotan, which I wholly don’t care about.

Again you claimed a cooldown of 8-10 seconds I argued that because I don’t see it happening. This is the point I argued, and you haven’t showed me to be wrong. I didn’t say it’s impossible to do takedown with IB. Though 27 minutes to reach Valks is not exactly saying IB is good when I can complete a whole raid in 15 with Zane with multiple different builds. And complete it in less then 27 minutes easily with a Moze centric build.

The only points I’ve ever argued (and most the people here have) are that IB based lacks compared to Moze based, and both lack compared to other VH’s. Not that anything is impossible or content cannot be done.

I can do it in 8-10 as Fl4k, I can also do it in 12-15 as Zane. Neither of those are Moze.

I don’t see how that matters. I don’t even like Moze, I’m not saying this is a fast clear time. I don’t even know what her normal clear times are with whatever other people are doing.

This is a thread about using Iron Bear. That is exactly what I did and it worked. If you do the same thing, which is very, very easy to replicate, you will have similar results.

That is what I set out to do and that is what I did.

Have tried doing the Takedown with a corrosive and a shock rail? The damage output is much better against Maliwan targets. All you need to do is shift a couple of points from the blue tree (Fire in the Skag Den, I’m looking at you) into the red tree to unlock the sabot rounds.

5/5 Grizzled with 5 kills, 5/5 EP with little enough time between splash instances to continuously proc, 30% cooldown rate on kill shield (better than the one you were using), 31% on mod, 21% on artifact. 20 seconds. The only way I’ve ever gotten shorter is with 9/5 Grizzled.

@kabflash and I have tested this so thoroughly we are positive you either have the respec bug and not showing the loading screen in video for a reason (hope not), or your game has a cooldown bug because it’s not possible to duplicate your results.

Which is fine and I commend you for it. Again I only commented because you made a false claim of having a 8-10s cooldown between bears and made a misleading statement of CMT being a common nade mod. The rest of my comment is based on the flavor of the other comments in the thread.

There is a very specific reason I only use Explosive Miniguns.

If you use any other weapon in Mayhem 4 in Takedown your IB will die just about immediately because of the massive amount of damage it is taking and your entire build will be gimped.

Explosive Miniguns have a HUGE damage bonus over Railguns, a much faster fire rate, and a much faster reload speed. Even with the elemental damage penalty Explosive Bullets are better.

I’m not sure at lower difficulties where the scaling is less punishing. V-35s were great at lower difficulties and outside of Takedown, but they were useless in Takedown for example.

Have you used Vanquisher without augments much? I find it to be very comparable to Exploding. Bullets. More damage, slightly longer reload, all around pretty even.

This is a good test for general CDR. It is not relevant to actual combat.

You were doing nothing. I was throwing grenades and had Iron Bear shooting fully automatic explosive miniguns while I was in

Which is not during my Action Skill and my cooldown timer was running during this time. So, like I said in an earlier post, timewise was around 21 or 22 seconds. In practice, I was only vulnerable for 1 second.

This is not the fastest possible time. I am actually using less Grizzled and Explosive Punctuation in today’s version of this build.
