Gabriel is pretty spot on here as I’m a rather unorthodox player when it comes to Gaige.
I primarily use shock and try to just bulldoze my way through enemies with as little gun switching or gear switching as possible. My grenade is usually a Quasar with MM or a slag singularity as a second choice. My use of MM is, a lot of times, only for grenade regen or because I’m playing a more supportive role for someone else. That being said, I also will use an Antagonist in conjunction with those grenade choices. This is all because I rarely remember to use slag at all. (Bad habit I know)
I also don’t use DT as much as others. He’s strictly for distraction purposes or for assisting in second winds. I’ll throw him out when I’m reviving another player, running through an area without intending to fight, or in the split second before I go down.
I don’t necessarily rely on DoT’s, but they do offer a good bit of help when taking down a mob. I’d offer my pointers, but they’ll only help you if you want to play as reckless as I do.
