As far as gear goes, what does ā€œCCā€ stand for?

It most likely means ā€œcrowd controlā€.

Stun, slow, knockback, knockupā€¦ I guess silence too. Abbreviation is crowd control, yeah. ā– ā– ā– ā–  knows why, since these status effects are mainly used on single targets.

Well to be fair, in this circumstance, it could stand for ā€˜Character Controlā€™ :smiley:

But yeah, in most games CC = Crowd Control.

Thatā€™s one of the problems Iā€™ve had with this game. People use a lot of MOBA abbreviations to describe concepts within the game.

I think the reason for it being ā€œcrowd controlā€ is that itā€™s originas are most likely in the MMORPG genre where one character would be expected to shut down several NPCs with an ability. It since got adopted by the MOBA crowd and through that found itā€™s way here.

I was trying to avoid abbreviations in this post but it would have ended up about twice as long if Iā€™d decided to forgo them entirely. :stuck_out_tongue:
