The Butcher hot fix is NOT working

It’s super inconsistent for me. It seems to randomly start kicking again - perhaps it’s the Hyperion reverse recoil gimmick fighting against something else - but I don’t know why it would be intermittent. Makes playing with the butcher no fun at all, as if it has recoil RNG.

Been playing my butcher moze and I’m 80% sure it has to do with how long you wait on the menu before entering the game. When I was farming and going in and out really fast I was getting the bad recoil. Started waiting for 10-15 seconds for all the hotfixes to load on the menu and haven’t had the problem since.

There are multiple bugs with accuracy and recoil, in my opinion. One of them is when you’re running terror builds.

Accuracy when terrified is bugged. The game analyzes if your gun deserves an accuracy debuff way too late and hence sometimes your first recoil suffers of that slow “analysis” (the game checking if you have a terror anointment or not) and the game gives you bad accuracy for a shot or so. There might be more bugs connected to this. Proof: Terrify yourself and just look at the crosshairs when the terror effect expires, it should jump between going bigger and smaller.

I’ve been a vivid user of the Butcher and it feels better than what the patch did to it but it’s still not as it should be. Meaning: I’m still facing the ceiling sometimes. The terror accuracy bug might be part of that.

No, Destiny’s patches do not even come close to being this broken. I don’t even care much for Destiny anymore but you’d have to be insanely biased to try and say Borderlands 3 has anything close to Destiny’s level of polish. They feel like they were developed in different decades.

In co-op or single player?

Single player, don’t get me wrong it still sucks, but about 75% better than before hotfix

I just tried the Butcher again, like before, when played in single player it seems to work fine. However, once I finished a multi-player run and went back to single player, its recoil went mad. It was the same yesterday as well as on the day of that hotfix. I don’t know what this inconsistency is coming from.

OP doesn’t have an issue in single player. They are reporting the bug in co-op.

dude, no need to be hostile, just posting a content about how this game isn’t the only game that has this sort of problems, it’s the sorry state of gaming now adays. so get your panties cooled down, didn’t know you were so sensitive.

Go back to Destiny. I’m sure the people on their forums will enjoy chatting with you about Borderlands.

Hi. Let’s keep the personal anguish off the forum, please.

Maybe read the forum rules.

Yea I had the same thing happen todaywhen playing. Was playing solo for abit and everything was fine then decided to switch over to try a takedown run with some people, brought the butcher with me and as soon as I entered the lobby I shot and the recoil was through the roof. There is no consistency in why this happens.

Maybe the host entered too quickly and did wait for the hotfix to apply.

Ahh never thought of that. Wish they would prevent people from starting the game until the hot fixes finished loading.

lol, I’ll do what I please. thank you.

played m4 last night and did notice the first shot from my fearmonger had a ton of recoil then it settled after, definitely something wrong with the recoil on shottys and I did wait for the screen to change to start my game as well. so waiting for the patches and things to load isn’t the issue. unfortunately.

So, while playing tonight I noticed the wild recoil happening while using the Hellwalker. I think the recoil issue is caused by some interaction when a bullet is being returned to the magazine and you shoot at the exact moment it’s added. What happened to me tonight is:

  • I would hit a crit and get ammo added to the mag through LnT
  • I pulled the trigger once but got what looked and felt like 2 shots, kinda like BL2 Tw0 Fang, but the “second” shot didn’t appear to do any damage
  • I still had the added ammo in the mag after the pseudoshot

Since the Butcher special effect is to refund a random amount of ammo and you generally hold down the fire, that would explain why at random the gun goes all over the place but then goes back to normal. Is anyone experiencing this with a gun that doesn’t have the “return ammo to the mag” effect?

This right here is beyond the truth. Destiny is crud after d1 and took them several attempts to make it decent. I recall not even 6 months after release it dropped like a hot duke in a pool… just time to gtfo. Between bugs, and constant nerfs to the core looter aspect just killed it hardcore for me. The only bug atm that’s killing me is the guardian ranks not working. If they did atleast I can swap to someone or something else ingame but not having any form of progression is just a kick in the ****.

Ironically this game is probably one of the better (yeah yeah outer worlds blah blah blah) games to come out this year. Gearbox just needs some time that’s all. They know the dlcs will garner more money and tbh I feel like a lot of the bugs and problems will be fixed either right before or on release of its first dlc.

I sure know it’s better than bungie at the helm… lmao

I’m sorry…
Didn’t they said in the post “Addressed a reported concern where The Butcher could occasionally experience excessive recoil”?
This doesn’t mean that they already fixed it.

So what did they mean by “addressed” then? And if it didn’t mean they ‘fixed’ it, then what’s the hotfix for?
