Q: What enemies can’t be phaselocked?

A: Most enemies in the game can be phaselocked. The enemies that can’t are usually unique. These include Wilhelm, BNK-3R, The Warrior, Saturn, Dukino’s Mom and OMGWTH. There are some non-unique enemies that can’t be phaselocked such as constructors.

I’ve updated the links and included the new DDD skill guide. Due to how the old forums were archived, we can only access the first page. If anybody would be so kind as to port those threads over so they aren’t lost, I’ll update the guide. Thank you. :dukeaffirmative:

I can’t tell if Helios is any stronger or not cause I haven’t used it since I put a single point in it back in tvhm, saw it do like 100 dmg / tick and promptly spec’d out of it. Now I have it at 4/5 with legendary binder (9/5) and it maybe takes off like 1/4 of a trash mobs health along with the rest of ruin.

So yes, it’s applied to all enemies with converge, but I feel like Flicker might help more with the maliwan smgs that I like. I don’t know… I’m still on the fence until someone can figure out the new helios damage formula. I would if I had the time…

As for blight phoenix… has it always had that weird creepy sound when it is damaging an enemy? I’ve had 1 point in it forever, but didn’t notice the creepy sound until this patch. IIRC, even with 4/5 it was only doing like 1600 fire and 4800 corrosive damage to a loader per tick at level 64. So it still seems weak enough that 1 point for the stumble would work fine.

Most useful Maya build?
(Wingsday) #9

I noticed that the link to my COMs guide links to the first Reply, so if you want to fix that, that’d be great :stuck_out_tongue:

(Cast Iron Chef) #10

Okay, okay. I’ll fix it. :dukejk:

Fixed. Happy now?

:dukeaffirmative:

(Wingsday) #11

Thanks! :dukeaffirmative:

(LootHunter) #12

Needs rewording (IMO) and spelling:

Phaselock Resistant/Immune Enemies
A guide to what enemies can or can’t be phaselocked.

(Cast Iron Chef) #13

I fixed the spelling, but the wording is fine because the guide includes both enemies that can be Phaselocked as well as (and) enemies that cannot. Thanks for pointing out the spelling mistake because I found a few more. :dukefp:

(Killer Worm) #14

Most of the builds are outdated.:frowning:

(Cast Iron Chef) #15

They ain’t mine so there ain’t nothing I can do 'bout that.

(Elpresador) #16

Is it possible to fix some guides I cannot open the raid boss ones

(Is this thing on?) #17

Unfortunately, that’s a link to the oldforums archive, which GBX discontinued last month. It’s possible someone had grabbed that link and put it in the Internet archive, so a copy might still be available. There were a LOT of links to the oldforum archive though, and not much notice given that the server for it was going to be turned off.

(Elpresador) #18

Darn. Well I guess I got YouTube for raid advice or somewhere on the forums.

(ReignmanSS) #19

Yea, I’d love to see these old links back up again. I’ve gotten back into BL2 again and what I’ve found on Youtube isn’t as good as this board.

Try this link and see if you can get some info you’re looking for:

(ReignmanSS) #21

Thanks man, still the links seem to not connect. I’d like to know more about Deal With the Devil and how that works. I’m trying to do raids and am looking for the best way to go about it WITHOUT gear you get from raid bosses (Norfleet, Interfacer, etc.)

(Is this thing on?) #22

The Internet Archive can be tricky if the page the link points to wasn’t archived on the same date as the page the link is on. There’s a weird boxy graph thing at the top where you can click on a snapshot that does exist. Here’s the archived post:

https://web.archive.org/web/20130608044258/http://forums.gearboxsoftware.com:80/showthread.php?t=285479

This is the actual build (note that it’s only level 61 so pre-UVH2):

http://www.bl2skills.com/siren.html#550051000050500100005551510511

I’d also add that this build is pre-2015 Maya buffs, so you may want to take a careful look at the skills and through your extra points for a level 72 build in accordingly. (For one thing, Cloud Kill is now much stronger. Also, I believe the Immolate glitch was fixed or nerfed, although I’m not 100% certain if this build relies on it over-much?)
