…Same, and I have a sad face each time I look at this:

I enjoy BB better than BL. Call me crazy all you want.

I would never call someone out for their gaming tastes (and neither should anyone else for that matter).

Touche. For me playing threw the story with different characters adds a new twist each time as well for the skill tree and possibilities are nearly endless.

No, not at all. I’m just saying people should respect each others taste in games.

…Same here, anyone care to define the Lunatic Fringe?
The Borderlands series are all I play other than BB and I only play them now when the Internet is broken.
(Because BB doesn’t work with a broken Internet)

Neither would I. Unless, you know, they like Duke Nukem Forever, then something has to be done. :dukejk:

OK…

You are CRAZY…LOL But I’m saying this tongue in cheek.

This is a good game. No question.

But…

BL2 was a GREAT game! A total classic and has remained viable for over 3 years.

IIRC GB had originally set a January release date. Then slipped it to May. That five months killed them IMHO. And yes Blizzard moved up their date but that date coincided with the May release. The could not have made the January release.

At least this is what I recall at the time so I may be wrong.

Agreed…Blizzard seems quite good in this department and in the Marketing/Sales/Strategy arena…seem to way out class GB and 2K.

Capitalism…ain’t it grand…LOL

Capitalism, as exercised in the US, encourages a zero sum game mentally because the primary function of a corporation is to maximize share holder value. A corporation can be sued by its shareholders if it engages in any activity that shareholders deem as not maximizing their investment. For example, not crushing the competition. It’s called shareholder primacy and was established in American law in 1919 in Dodge v. Ford Motor Co., a Michigan supreme court case.

The exception to the zero sum game mentally is when corporations collude, which is illegal. It’s a violation of anti trust law. Granted, not every corporation is going to get sued for “playing nice”, but it serves as the justification for a lot of them to be a**holes.

Good morning @all,

i’m against any punishment for game -leavers, why?

  1. There is actually the 10min lock out to find a new game via matchmaking.
  2. There are good real-life reasons for leaving a game. No one is able to differentiate between a good reason to leave and ppl that rage quit for whatever reason.

BUT

there are three things the GBX devs should do to motivate players to stay in games ->

  1. Collect 10 players first, then assemble teams. This would help alot creating fair teams.
  2. Replace afk’ers & leavers fast with a new player and grant this player the average helix-level.
  3. Give the players in the losing team the LAST-STAND badge, whenever one loses a pvp game he/she gets one LAST-STAND badge ( i think devs will find a funnier name than LAST-STAND badge that fits the game better ) and collecting 3 of this badges then gives a bigger portion of extra credits and exp. Maybe someone has a better idea as a reward for collecting 3 LAST-STAND badges. But something like this is the best way to hold ppl in the games.

Destiny had the same problems with players leaving pvp matches during the iron banner event, whenever ppl were on the losing team they left and the Destiny devs really were able to prevent leaving with a solution i described in 3) not exactly this but something near it.

Best regards.

To be fair, I’ve quit a number of matches because I don’t like the color puce.

Query… apologies if this is the wrong thread or it’s been answered before… had a player in a game earlier who was definitely using an aimbot. How do I report them?

Open the scoreboard in game and click on the player who you want to report, a little list should come up saying mute player, view profile, report player.

Yes, I saw that, unfortunately I didn’t have a good look at any of the stats / profile until the game was over so the report function vanished. I took a screenshot of the match info and their name, if that counts for anything…

Yeah, in that situation you can probably go the old way (GBX support)
It would be nice if they added an option to report through Match History too. Back when I played on console, all verbal harassment came after the match, not during…

Yeah. I was too busy during the match fighting these guys! He was the only one behaving suspiciously… playing Benedict, who takes a long time to learn and rarely gets shots every time… anyway, when I looked after he had more kills than the all the rest of us put together and then some. Checked profile - 24 hours ingame. I will submit a support ticket!

Suggestions 1 & 2 = so much win.
Also… adding to 1, maybe allow all 10 players to choose to match/rematch against each other either on the same teams or after scrambling. This would allow large groups of friends to play together and against each other. If someone has to leave, wait for one new player, then continue.
