The Fight For Sanctuary- with Spoilers

So far I got the rainbow skin for my runner, and the Volcano from him.

Here’s my haul on my first playthrough with Axton at level 72. Not running any mods or anything. Just playing the game as intended on PC. One of the best Vanilla hauls of all time for me.

Honestly, while getting the spore samples for Tannis I think a bandit stole my technical because it wasn’t there when I got back and they still don’t blast empty vehicles…

I think it might be considered spoilers. However, we can’t block the entire forum from posting that kind of stuff; I hope folks who want to avoid spoilers stay in the thread marked spoiler-free.

This DLC is leading me to believe that some of Hector’s men avoided the mining accident and those men went on to form the different Beatdown biker gangs.

I got a pretty good kill on haderax. Pretty challenging at first, he keeps regenerating its health and i ran out of ammo a few times. but finally figure him out and kill him maybe around 2 mins.

The chest after the fight is generous lots of legendaries and skins and an easy mode shield and peak opener assault rifle.

Yes, the DLC downloaded and installed, but doesn’t show up under BL2 add ons and no fast travel for it.
It only shows up in the install queue as installed.

Does anyone know where is the hidden chest and how do you get to the vault symbol? I thought there was a simple rock path up to the symbol but I keep sliding off.

So, I really enjoyed the Commander Lilith DLC. Vaughn and Cassius are the only video game characters I can think of that were introduced in a sequel/spinoff then put into a game from years earlier in DLC.

Speaking of…poor Cassius. A Tales original bites the dust before seeing Borderlands 3. :sob: My group and I also immediately fell in love with Jerry before he met his hilarious demise.

The writing in this was great, and it was a great feeling to finally be in on new Borderlands content as it was released (I only started playing Borderlands after Tales was finished).

Work schedule has been hectic so haven’t had a chance to play this yet and it’s making me cry!!

Any tips/advice before I tackle it tonight?

The only thing I’d say is that the regular trash mobs are actually pretty tough - for trash. So bring the big(ger) guns.

The New Pandora Surgeons deserve a special place in hell. They seem to have huge shields that resist a lot of stuff.

Good. It’s not just me. I’m running it with my level 52 Mania Krieg and he’s going down in this DLC a lot more than anywhere else in the game.

Got my first Rainbow, a drop from a run-of-the-mill enemy. A Rainbow Avenger…ur…um Infection Cleaner. It kills things OK. And I do like SMG ammo regen with my Sirens.

Like Marcus and Earl shacking up together too, they belong together.

Shock weapons are important in this DLC.

Indeed, I forgot to bring my shock tattler because it’s currently in gaiges inventory.
I’ve been using my Incendiary one, and even when using a level 80 fire gun against level 73-74 fleshy mobs it takes almost an entire mag to kill one guy with a shield.

Y’all notice how much XP you get for discovering a new area now? Not all are 150 XP, some area reveals give more than 3000. Interesting.

I killed Hector twice now, both times he dropped Dahl Predator.
Can anyone confirm if he always drops this? It seems weird they’d give him that skin as opposed to the nearly-impossible-to-acquire Dahl Efficiency

So being the big baby that I am I went in with a “fresh out of first play through” level 35 character on normal mode instead of one of my max toons… and dayum!

Storyline I’m loving. Writers as per usual did an excellent job there. The environment and maps I love too. Much immersion.

The bosses and gameplay itself is challenging but not ridiculous… but that may be because I’m on a baby toon too. So I can’t pass any real judgement on that yet.

But overall, so far so good!

I’ma tell y’all one thing;
Elemental Snipers Are No Joke
These guys are accurate, have quite a range, and hit hard.
I’ve been put into FFYL twice by a sniper from a long way away, his hit took me to 1/8th health, and the fire DOT he applied took me the rest of the way down (this is at lvl 73).
They have become my new threat level 1.
