Rant incoming. Moze is still the weakest VH on foot, some of her skills just doesn’t work as intended or located so far down the tree its laughable. I am still bummed they nerfed her Vampyr skill or didn’t make it based on grenade damage. Amara gets “life steal from % of damage done” yet Moze gets “% of missing health” not even “% of max health” and that too only from grenade hits not grenade damage. Rushin offensive is pathetic as life steal. Cant go to sprint mode while I am holding the trigger. Cant throw grenades, wth.

She is suppose to be explosive expert yet does not get any explosive resistance skill just a measly shock resistance. Amara gets both explosive resistance and all types of elemental resistance. Click click does not make sense in that tree or how it works, and certainly not as a tier 5 skill. Explosive punctuation is trash and not a tier 5 skill. Selfless vengeance is trash too, she has no reload speed skill and it reduces health from a build that’s suppose to be about low health.

“Full can of whoop Ass” and “Experimental Munitions” are sh*t and many enemies in Mayhem 10 are “fire resistance” they should have let us pick either fire or radiation damage. A fixed fire damage does not work late game. “Behind the iron curtain” is pathetic as a tier 4 skill and “Force feedback” is a joke as a tier 5 skill, “shield reboot” guardian rank is simply better than this. And there is a whole post regarding why Tenacious Defense is a flawed capstone.

After all this, yet I see people only talking about nerfing Iron Bear, I wouldn’t mind nerfing IB but before doing that fix Moze, fix her skills. Make her a worthy VH on foot.

They added splash damage to TCP which did help a little bit. With the current state of grenade damage, that would do no favors at all to Vampyr. The % of missing health is a complete joke, she can’t even heal to full health with that. A real fix for Vampyr would be to heal for % of splash damage dealt. That would put it on par with Amara and actually synergize better with that skill tree.

No, that’s what she is supposed to get. Rn she gets “% HP based on weapon atk” but once that’s fixed her HP reg will be a lot stronger than what it is now.

Yeah that change was poorly thought out, they should move the lifesteal passive to forge and give rushin offensive the ability to sprint into every direction + a move speed bonus instead.

first sprint the start shooting. Or throw a grenade and then run, it will heal you from the damage made by the grenade(s). RO is actually extremely good at healing you, tho its usage is kinda ■■■■■■ at most.

Oh… really? Are you sure thats RO healing you or vampyr? Or GB sneakily added life steal from grenade damage with RO

She already has better life steal than Sapper, and you say its bugged and suppose to be a lot stronger?

RO gives you back 8% of gun damage dealt while rushing.

Test it yourself. Get a cryo/rad hex, throw it and the run around. Your health will be instafilled. I took advantage of this all the time with my MS build

Yes you are right, I don’t have a Hex, but tried with another grenade and surprisingly it works, I dont have any point on vampyr, it works as long as I am on sprint mode before the grenade hits. I hope it was intentional and not removed in hotfix.

Now I’m told that if I get all the DLC and it’s weapons, BL3 will be awesome.
Why can’t GB just make the DLC available for free? Were the BL3 sales that low and desperately need DLC money to cover their losses?

More like if the weapons actually worked in the most difficult setting, I wouldn’t need OP builds. Unless you think that weapons doing hardly any damage are balanced. And the game should have been released completed. Both Guardian and Midnight take downs were free and they’re better than the Casino and Blood Bounty DLC. Turns out that the new weapons on the DLC are super powerful and actually useful on M10. Why couldn’t the current non DLC weapons be sufficient? They were at first but GB nerfed them.

I paid full price for a complete game, not for a half completed game and later having to pay more cash to enjoy the full experience of said game.

there are quite a few vanilla weapons that are working on mayhem 10 as well
also GBX is still working on DLCs right now, heading towards the 4th DLC
and that was just the first season pass
did you really want to wait an other 2 or 3 years for the game to release?
and then never get new content to it?
its just how it works
we can already play the game and they can afford to pay people, creating even more stories and weapons

GB actually screwed people who payed $59 to buy the game from epic, people who actually supported GB despite going “exclusive” to platform riddled with bugs, what not. What is the fault of those people? Their fault was they didn’t spend $99 to buy the season pass, who knew the main story will be so sh*t, and they are gonna nerf guns from the base game to incentivize and force people buying DLC, freaking pathetic.

Those weapons with Zane, Amara or FL4K sure, for Moze it seems like she’s the weakest character if she’s not using IB. I play with Moze, I did the siren thing before so Amara didn’t look appealing to me. I did the pet/drone skill thing with Wilhem on TPS so FL4K and Zane looked boring. As it turns out they’re all more powerful than Moze by a good margin right now. Many of the current non DLC smg, rocket, shotty and nade weapons were good on M10 but were nerfed.

They should do more added Take Downs that don’t require purchase. We already paid for the game, why pay twice as much for the same game?

If it would have released with all the content in one standard price , yes! What’s the difference if the game would have released 2-3 years later? There’s so many games out on the market that if BL3 would have released 10 years later it wouldn’t have bothered me one bit, I was having a blast playing the other BL games that BL3 wasn’t really a must have chapter.

The Take Downs were new content and they were free. If they want to charge extra for DLC, GB should have just priced the BL3 game at half price or something, after all it does feels like a game you can beat in about an hour if you cut out the scenes.

You’re telling me that after 7 years since BL2 and many more years of great financial success, GB still needed more time, writers and money to develop a story, weapons and content for BL3?

Exactly! Which is why I’ll probably never buy the DLC. GB could have released all the DLC content since the beginning but knew that it was more profitable to keep their gamers in the loop by dangling in front of them a DLC that will “better the game to it’s full extent”. I had no problem getting the DLC on BL2 because that game was far superior to BL3, and it was worth it. These new BL3 DLC, not so much since BL3 itself isn’t all I thought it would be. I think it’s immoral that GB would try to sand bag people into buying their DLC for it’s weapons by nerfing many of the current weapons already in the game.

i am currently using the kaoson again but the boomsickle is also a viable weapon

i dont like takedowns or any other raid instance styled levels and i would never compare that to a new story DLC
its simply more work and more effort and therefore costs money
i would personally agree that they should not make any weapons DLC exclusive since the weapon design isnt so much of a work and i also dont like the “approach” to lure people with broken weapons but it seems to work for many cases since people are generally just looking for more damage and not for more fun gameplay

i am personally just a fan of the franchise so i will always buy all the DLCs

Probably true, but that doesn’t mean that adding new levels and weapons is gonna cost an arm and leg to a company that’s been around for 20 years now with multiple highly successful games under it’s belt.

Do you run on M10? I use to use the kaoson but on M10 it’s only good for lower tier enemies after they nerfed it, and it’s pretty much useless on the Take Downs M10. The boomstickle is not bad but with Moze on M10 it’s really not very strong. I see the boomsickel destroying everything with Amara, Zane or FL4K on youtube.

I think that’s where you and I are totally different and why we don’t see eye to eye. I love the Take Downs and pretty much my primary playground. The normal campaign levels are a breeze and not challenging. The DLC is the same really, just more easy campaign levels and bosses that I have to pay for, to me they’re not worth even a dollar extra. If the DLC was extremely difficult and challenging, then yeah I’d pay extra for it. GB wouldn’t be doing this if there wasn’t a huge financial profit from it, they’re not just barely getting by. They got plenty of money to throw around, and after the huge tax cuts for major companies the president signed, especially since GB is located in Texas which is a republican state that is very lenient towards big business tax cuts.

It’s more work but we’ll never know how much work it really is. It’s not like GB is making the new billion dollar Marvel Avengers movie. They’re adding content from the same coding they already have to a game they already made. They’re luring people by adding the same “broken weapons” system they already had before DLC. Soon they’ll nerf the DLC weapons and add new “broken weapons” to counter the now nerfed DLC weapons, it’s really quite ridiculous, GB keeps people chasing their own tails in circles.

Also to some people more damage is more fun, to some less damage is more fun I guess.

You can be a fan of the franchise and not buy the DLC. Just because something says Borderlands on it doesn’t always mean it’s going to be worth buying.

except for some special farming sessions for a relic, shield or anything that doesnt even have mayhem levels

i dont really understand how you only like new content when its challenging but at the same time complain about you dont get broken weapons for free that let you 1 shot every single enemy in the game :confused: it seems like YOU are getting for free what you are actually looking for so whats the exact matter?

story DLCs cost more because its more levels and characters to design, story to write, voice actors to pay, etc. etc.
the most expensive thing in any business is usually just people
a business is not a house of someone with a lot of slaves and depending on the content they are producing, it will cost them a specific amount of money
these people are getting payed constantly
so they basically HAVE to work on something they can take money for
and if its not borderlands 4 already or any other game, it has to be borderlands 3 content
they dont have a gold reserve just because borderlands 2 was successful 7 years ago
also its probably 2k who is paying them and i dont know about their current financial situation but usually game devs are pushed so hard by publishers that they cant even release the game fully tested and functioning
let alone +4 full story DLCS xD
sorry but i think you are really the only person who complains about further content coming out that you can DECIDE to buy or not, while already being able to play the game for almost a year already

i am having more problems with the “free content” of the game currently, mayhem 2.0, weapon balance, etc.

People have said the Kaoson is still OK post nerf. Whelp…not for me. Gun feels so different now…and just…bad…

And the Kaoson style nerf is exactly what I am afraid they will do to IB.

A few of the elite players will say “necessary,” or “the nerf was not that bad,” or “it needed balance” or other such absolute hogwash…

And we will be right back to where we were before the DLC. Game had lost it’s rep…and it’s way…and we were losing fans and players in droves.

I think IB is just right damage wise and the ONLY thing I would even consider is possibly lengthening the cooldown and lessening the time the action skill could be active. But even then WHY?

If people think IB is too “powerful” don’t use him and go to an Infantry only build. Pretty simple. I mean hell, for almost the entire game we haven’t been using IB to do anything more than pop anoints. How is the decision to not use IB as a mech any different than the way we have been playing him for almost a year now??

I’m frankly very tired of a very few people trying to tell the vast, unwashed majority like me how the game should be played. The game gives you the capability to think for yourself…scale up or down the difficulty level based on equipment, Mayhem level and build.
