They will; they HAVE to keep thier dwindling player base. I had really wished that Battleborn would of lasted longer (it’s so FUNNY), but it happens (Evolve was funny too…); to our advantage, in matters like this.

Win against X, X many times would be the perfect change.

This sounds 100% times better, even if it’s still completely luck based to run into the character. At least it isn’t encouraging bad team play!
Having assists count towards the challenge (Kill X X times) would also be much better than what it is now.
Not sure why assists aren’t part of it anyway, it should be kills or assists, and fewer, so you aren’t focused on killing one person all game every game they’re in until you have it done. What happens when you get ‘top damage dealer’ over & over but someone else gets the killshot b/c it’s a team/objective based game? Frustration, that’s what.

I’ve literally never cared about “kill stealing” but damn does it make me feel chuffed when I’m just about to get a kill towards my Lore Challenge and an assist pops up.
I don’t like cursing at all but this game is awakening my inner trucker man.
I really hope they make it so you can complete lore in private matches. The AI doesn’t make it super easy, you still need to play a bunch & earn it. And who cares if you cheese it, really? You can already do that in story mode, and it’s better than having ppl playing to their own personal objective of killing someone in a team game. Playing private versus is good practice for maps & game modes, but nobody does it b/c challenges & lore are turned off.
Kleese has to play once on every map/mission, so what do you do when no one is playing capture? Or when ppl constantly pick one map in the other modes? Nobody is playing Ambra right now after 3 straight nerfs b/c she’s targeted by both Galilea & Alani, 2 strong characters that are even stronger together. WF has to kill OM, who has an escape mechanism & is arguably stronger anyway. It creates frustrating matchup issues & relies on other players when it’s a mechanic that’s supposed to promote having fun & progressing w/ your favorite character.

Yep, my thoughts exactly. I keep suggesting this on posts, in the hopes that Gearbox will listen.
