As stated before, glad to meet ya.

The website I use for the days has listed today as Celebrate Bisexuality Day. So, go forth and celebrate!

What should one celebrate today? Take your pick:

  • Punctuation Day
  • Innergize Day
  • National Voter Registration Day
  • Schwenkfelder Thanksgiving

Punctuation matters:

I like the ‘replacement for enemies’ face’ :joy:

In other news:

  • National Comic Book Day
  • National Lobster Day
  • National One-Hit-Wonder Day

I’ll go with my favourite comic:

Anyone is welcome to post favourite comics or One-Hit-Wonders right here.

I never really read comics that much, But I do like the Overwatch comic series.

This might be my favorite one hit wonder. It’s certainly pretty high on the list.

Favorite comic?

Honorable mention to:

National Lobster Day? Will a DIY lobster roll suffice?

We’ll just roll with that…

Transmetropolitan is another one on my to read when I find the time list

I’d recommend bumping it in priority, but I am something of a Warren Ellis fanboy. Planetary is a wonderful take on superhero comics, his novel Crooked Little Vein is a phenomenal piece of fiction, and the novel(la) Normal is a fantastic bit of paranoid detective futurism.

Slab of lies is a personal favorite.

@paulothead
I’m utterly curious what the first comic you are showing is about.

Spider Jerusalem (the bald guy with the spider tattoo on his head) is a political journalist who’s been living reclusively in the woods since his last columns brought down a corrupt political regime. His publisher tracks him down and threatens legal and military action of he doesn’t provide the books he is contractually obligated to write. So he moves back to the City (a dystopian Cyberpunk shitshow where you can learn language via injection) to work for a paper while he gathers material. He becomes embroiled in taking down more corrupt politicians with the aid of his filthy assistants and trusty bowel disruptor gun.

There’s some other stuff going on, but that’s the neatest, most concise, summary I could provide and give an idea of what you might be signing up for.

Thank you. Looks like I have to make notes of this one.

New ones:

  • Johnny Appleseed Day
  • Lumberjack Day
  • Remember Me Thursday

And while I thought of this:

That is the Appleseed I was looking for:

Even though I know the folk tale, this is always what comes to mind.
