"The last patch", is it?

Ah, I see. Is this a consensual view?

Yeah. A lot of us wants the rants back.

And folks think the Joker is crazy…

Maybe theoretically you can but who actually does get higher drops, I know I’ve never had one in tvhm or uvhm just lower ones, only higher drop I’ve had was in normal mode and mostly from chests.

If you look around they are there. You might only notice the bad ones but they do drop and quite common.

I suppose I am guilty of not checking every single drop, I look at blue or above everything else ignored.
Though in my opinion in uvhm their should not be any less than blue gear as the green and white fodder that gets dropped is useless in uvhm

Technically, it’s not completely useless. You can always sell it for money.

I’ve had several. I’m still leveling my way through UVHM, but I’ve found the Bee (Treants), Unkempt Harold (Savage Lee), Gub (World drop from small snowman Frostbite), and tons of White & Green crap from the bar brawl – all +1 level above me. And that’s all in the past few play sessions. Very noticeable while you’re leveling since they have a red background when my crosshair moves over them showing that I can’t quite use them yet.

It’s the presence of white and green gear that makes blue (and above) gear special.
The alternatives are:

Make everything that drops blue or above
Or
Remove white and green gear from drops (meaning that most enemies will not drop anything but ammo)

The first option would making the idea of ā€œshoot and lootā€ obsolete, and everyone would have the gun they want almost immediately and stop looking at all.

The second option is exactly the same as what’s happening now if you ignore white and green gear.

The presence of white and green gear is fine at low levels just not in uvhm, I ignore it then when it’s only good for selling if you need money.
Their are plenty of blue purple and orange weapons for it still to be a loot em up.

True it’s good for $

I doubt that removing green and white gear from drops in UVHM is either desirable (as you can keep ignoring them) or feasible (the loot drop system is very complex). It might be convenient for some players, but it shouldn’t be a priority IMO. There are so many other things that would impact the game positively that are both easier to implement and would have a much bigger impact.

Not only that, but I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’ve gotten unlucky a few times while leveling a charecter and had to rely a lot on green/white loot in UVHM, I for one am really glad it’s there.

I feel like a lot of people forget that blue/purple gear isn’t that much different from lower quaity loot stat wise.

Even if we agreed that removing green and white gear from drops would be a positive change (which is far from being the case) I don’t think it’s a good thing to request considering how small the impact would be (less visual pollution ?) and how complex it would be to implement.

Like I said earlier: Let’s focus on meaningful changes.

We’re not trying to imagine a perfect iteration of Borderlands 2, we’re trying to fix things that are broken to make the game better, and the resources are limited. Let’s focus on open wounds, not minor rashes.

Ok I understand it may be difficult to implement so keep the fodder just make sure it’s at your level and not -2

White and green loot saved my ass a lot while leveling. Purple loot is harder to find than legendaries sometimes

Gold keys ? Plenty of purples

The RIGHT purple

Purple gear can be harder to find than Legendary: Legendary stuff have dedicated loot source, while there is no ā€œpurple vladof pistolā€ loot source, you just have to be lucky. Also, since barrels are fixed on Legendaries (and sometimes the element too) the number of variations is 4-5 times less for legendaries than for purples.

Getting a purple to drop is almost as hard as a legendary, and then it has to be the right type, body, Barrel, Grip, Accessory, element, stock…

That’s what he meant

Getting ā€œA purpleā€ is easy, getting ā€œTHE purpleā€ ? odds are stacked against you.

Totaly not feasible, but I think it would be cool if different manufacturers had a higer drop rate in certain areas.

For example, Bandit weapons could have a higher drop rate in Bloodshots, hyperion weapons could have a higher drop rate in the friendship gulag etc.
