Breaking people’s expectations in order to provide them something fresh and new is a good way to garner favor.

I know his defense will be crazy, his offense to

You can push, just don’t be right at the forefront.

Play it like Kleese or Ambra - sprint up, set up an egg, drop back behind your main line, volley grenades just ahead of your frontline as they advance.

Actually, one thing I will say is that I was surprised at how accurate the thrown explosives were. I was able to tag deadeyes with it from a decent distance and then blow em up.

I liked it.

I was just doing this earlier on The Algorithm. Paired with the mortar mutation and they’re as good as dead.

People really underestimate how important it is to knock out the deadeyes quickly on that map. They’re a big part of why the two choke points are such a ■■■■■■■ bitch on advanced. Having a mid-range character with the ability to take them out easily is very, very nice.

Ernest … earnestly, the “speed” at which you “move” give you away:
Just shed that sparrow skin now, we’ve all realised: You in fact … a snail :dukefp:

I will say this - Ernest is the only character that I like the yellow/purple type skin on . I think it looks badass as hell.

What are dead eyes?

Which map?

Deadeyes are sniper robots. They have no shields and low hp, but have high powered red dot sniper shots. They show up in a few maps, but the Algorithm is where they can do the most damage because where the map has so many small/confined areas, its hard for mid range/close range characters to close the gap to get to them or get to the jump pads that lead up to their hidey holes.

Understood.

I don’t play much PVE.

Well be thankful that its only in PvE and not PVP.

I honestly don’t think it would be a problem in PvP. The entire strategy rotates around several non-mobile characters hovering over 3 very destroyable objects. One solid aoe ult probably nets you a triple kill there.

Actually… if you take the right helix option, where his bomb pushes him and enemys away at detonation , you do can escape pretty well!

I only got to play one game as him today. What were the other options at that level?

Also, there’s no way to control the propulsion of the bounce?

Let’s say an melee attacks you from the front, stick the bomb on him and detonate, he’ll be thrown away a few meters and you’re aswell, i’ve experimented alot yesterday with this boost effect, with the right timing you can jump an insane distance, overgrowth, where the “balconys” are, right next to the bottleneck’s on each side, is a small piece of wall infront each balcony, put a bomb ontop the wall, jump over it and detonate as soon as you pass it, it will launch you right into the enemy balcony, you can traverse the whole middle part without touching the ground!

Hmm, I may have to look into it whilst drinking tomorrow. Really though, I tend to hate that kind of thing where you don’t have direct control. I mentioned in another thread today that I don’t think I could play orendi without “Lets Bounce” because I think it lets her be a lot more aggressive a lot easier. This is sounding a lot like that situation.

@Arsonist

I’m drinking and BB’ing tomorrow too!

Cheers!

I’ll be starting early this morning (8am EST) and going till at least 10-11am. I may take a break to borderlands with some other friends from these very boards. If I do that, I’ll probably be back between 6-8pm EST and go until the booze wears me down. If you’re on steam, pm me and I’ll add you.

Warning, all my play will likely be pve, with 1-3 pvp matches sprinkled around.
