Eh? I did read the next paragraph and understand what you did, but in your previous test it didn’t work at all. Nor in mine. Might be worth to re-check for N:th degree? It might be that or it might be a case of how many panels a given area has for the CE procs to work off of?
Yeah, I give up. You guys can do all the tiresome testing and I’ll just lurk.
Noted. Which means that harvesting as much as possible from the old forums and these new ones and setting up an alternative knowledge base rather than the Wiki is probably much more viable and definitely less frustrating.
Unreasonable people with bad info to convey are not only in the majority, they also have an extraordinary work ethic.
Yes. Although we did port a lot of the stuff from the old forum, Had we known we would be unable to find anything anymore, we would have put more time and effort into porting things quicker. We were told that the old forum would be archived and always be accessible, but it didn’t turn out that way.
I don’t really mind the state in which the old forum is, as long as we would have been told so.
I haven’t followed that topic up, but I thought there were still ongoing efforts to make the old forum properly archived again. Mind you, I heard that several months ago.
I know a lot was ported over, but a lot wasn’t. Is the current state of things how it’s going to stay?
If so, I’d be lying if I said I was entirely happy about it.
The old forum is going to stay the way it is, sadly.
My point was, when the change was made, we were told that the old forum would still be FULLY acessible, so we didn’t bother too much about porting everything, because just linking to the right page would be enough. We didn’t know that many of these pages would no longer be accessible. We’re trying to port as much stuff as possible, but some pages (like the one with the list of guns with splash for example) are very hard to find

I don’t know if it was the surface itself or the angle it presented to the target, but I found another angle that I think demonstrates it:
The dual proc doesnt react, the old forums has a topic on it actually. We had a dps test of it a while back.
That’s good to know… I was going to be pulling my hair out trying to set up an experiment to confirm that.
Once you’re there, the directory links at the top seem to have been revised to work within this archive. If, for example, you know on what page of the “BL2 Loot and Weapons Chat” forum the work on the Madhous landed, you can get there by nosing down the page numbers (which is awkward, because there’s almost 500 for this forum, for example). If your work was on the first page of a thread, it’s probably still there somewhere; anything on subsequent pages of a thread seem to be unavailable (or I just haven’t figured out how to get to them).
Really? Homing like e-tech darts (where if they’re pointing in the general direction of the target, they’ll steer towards it) or like Close Enough (where they will ricochet towards a target for classes without Close Enough)?
Ok - I’ll add another control and try to re-create that.
edit - when I re-create the situation above without any points in Close Enough, shots from the Madhous do not ricochet over towards the Constructor (then when I add them and fire at the same spot, shots start ricocheting). What were the circumstances of your testing that indicated the Madhous bullets had homing capabilities?
It’s also the case if the thread is on the next pages of the section’s list… so if a page hasn’t been interacted with in a long time and fell in the 6-7th page of the loot section, but was still accessed because it was linked to in the lootology, then it’s gone forever
Nth Degree works with the Madhous; the re-directed bullet does not split on a direct hit.
Split bullets (reflected off a surface from the initial shot) count individually towards your next Nth Degree.
Nth Degree will only reflect one of the pellets from a split shot (whichever one hits the initial target first, in which case the second pellet counts towards your subsequent Nth Degree, along with the reflected shot if it manages to connect with a second target.
Once you have a stack of Nth Degree up and begin consuming it in combat, and assuming you can land both split shots on target, and that the reflected shot will hit a second target (which in practice isn’t always the case, but this is certainly possible), you can get Nth Degree to trigger for every other round fired from your weapon. Here’s the scoop: the starting conditions here are that you have +5 in Nth Degree, and Nth Degree is already active (so the next shot will reflect).
Nth Degree is active.
First round out of your magazine: fire your weapon at the ground so it splits and both shots hit the target.
The first split that hits the target consumes Nth Degree, and is reflected towards a second target.
The second split that hits the target (since Nth Degree has reset) starts the counter anew with one shot.
The first split, which hits the second target by its redirected path from Nth Degree sets the counter to two.
Second round out of your magazine: fire your weapon at the ground as before.
Each split counts towards Nth Degree, so you have your third and fourth shots.
Repeat this loop now that Nth Degree is reactivated.
Exactly. Thing is, as I understood several posts this summer from the CM whose name I’m terrible at remembering, this would be looked at with the understanding that it would be remedied.
(I checked and its @JoeKGBX .)
Maybe I misunderstood or maybe it wasn’t doable.
Thanks for this. I’m trying to think of a fun way to abuse it, but I still haven’t woken up properly. At some point I will.
Wake up, that is.
There’s some great work done already by @0verloadhere (on this forum), which he ported from here (on the old forum) in response to some thread that seems to have been lost during the move.
I know, quote-replying because it’s worth repeating (^_~)
(Also, because I don’t give ‘likes’. Don’t ask why unless you enjoy walls of text. Or possibly short and somewhat acerbic notes about the state of social media.)
The Madhous! doesnt look so bad when we count with Nth Degree. HM
The penalty from CE still apply on the split bullets? The Madhous! is kinda looking a better Vladof Blaster.
