Burger night last night.
The beef, lettuce, tomato, bacon, onion, BBQ sauce and sauerkraut are all local
The cheese and pickles are from Costco
Served only on the finest English china
and with the finest local beer ( not pictured but it was blackberry ale
)
Just me and the missus tonight, so we went to a local Japanese place. Angus steak teriyaki with grilled veggies and rice, washed down with a nice Kirin beer. And then stopped off for strawberry ice cream on the way home. Mmm… Feeling very sleepy now!

It’s been many years since I’ve had Japanese food.
If you ever cross the border to the north, I’ll treat you.

I appreciate the thought VH101.
Ouch You’re welcome that still hurts
@Kurtdawg13 Your posts in this thread make me want to indulge myself. Gotta get the family together sometime and maybe try my hand at the grill
lotta inedible stuff in your meat there homie. Should fix that. Somebody might get sick.
Interesting way to cook it. I usually pan-fry mine with oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Intriguing way to cook salmon. Although I think I’m the only one around these parts who’d actually want to try it that way.
I settled for BBQ steaks, served with green beans, mushrooms, and tomatoes.
The salmon cooked inside the pineapple slices came out delicious. Very sweet taste, needed nothing added. Was simply amazing. We also had extra salmon that we soaked in the pineapple juice and grilled in tin foil. those did not turn out as amazing as cooked inside pineapple slices. Very tricky to do. the strings burnt off rather quickly. lol
Did you use the string they use to tie roasts? It ought to stand up quite well, even on a BBQ.
I deserve more credit than that VH! Come’on man! lol

Edit: However, my lady did this. She wanted to try it so I prepped the grill for her. We had Sweet Carrots with it. First time I had sweet carrots. it’s steamed carrots but she then adds butter and brown sugar. turned out excellent.
Edit:
I detest pineapple.
That’s ok - I’ll have yours. I think there’s some liver pate here you can have in exchange.
You can keep that too.
If you insist. You’re not getting my steak though.
I am an obligate carnivore…
