The Relevance of Roses/The So Happy Together trailer has a deeper meaning

Scattered thoughts on this:

Zane’s trailer makes me wonder if there is some kind of point connected to characters that would rather just be left alone having to come together to overcome a greater threat. Not sure about how social Amara and Moze (who left Vladof, a different team effort of sorts) are, but I’m guessing FL4K is a similar “I would rather just hang out with my pets” kind of frood.

So far the roses are being seen when the characters are happy together (even just with their digi-clone), is friendship the real m̶a̶g̶i̶c̶ weapon?

The use of plants as weapons in the Commander Lilith DLC does really make me wonder, too. I read someone else’s theory about the roses where they propose Tannis is responsible for them and is the real enemy. I’m not sure about the details there (I don’t personally have a feel for where she’ll fall in all of this), but deep red is definitely her power color, haha.

So did they come together as friends of their own accord or is there another influence for good or evil? Like others have pointed out the Eridians already seem to be influencing things based on what the future needs. Or are they related to Tyreen and the kind of gibbering madness togetherness of her cult? And did Tannis help either of these groups with what she learned about weaponize plants? Too much idk for me to have any kind of clear theory but the speculation is amusing.

“Red flowers represent desire, strength, and passionate love. With beauty, courage and heat as its symbolism, it’s no surprise that a bouquet filled with rich, red blooms knows no restraint.”

Could also be a new beginning. We saw how in the last DLC it ended in a not so happy way. So maybe with all the roses, it is the desire and love that brings in the vault hunters and friends together to look for a new beginning. As we search the stars for new vaults.

Another theory is that it symbolizes Claptrap just saying “I love you guys” to kinda ruin a moment.

Maybe the Calypso twins really were conjoined twins, but Tyreen wanted to end it and ripped herself away when they were children, leaving Troy without an arm. Maybe she felt bad and gave him roses when he was on the sickbed.
Troy always got sentimental about roses, but lately they make him bitter and remind him of Tyreen trying to take control all the time, sidelining him and expecting to make it OK with a flower.
Him finally turning on her will be triggered, in part, by a rose.

There you go, speculation #3452

The Moze trailer just dropped - another loner confirmed.

Roses are primarily a symbol of love.
Maybe BL3 is a love letter of sorts from Gearbox to the fans.

The loner theme was the first thing I thought of when I watched it since it was mentioned in this thread

Maybe it signifies the Vault Hunters are in deep ■■■■. “If you lean a little bit closer roses really smell like poo oo oo oo”- Outkast

maybe roses represent people who have died
