The Ultimate Question for Red/Green Sapper builds

He was killing bosses in a few seconds. It doesn’t matter how optimized you are. It still works. That is just one take on the build. I only mentioned it because seeing what someone else does can either give you perspective or help you know something you didn’t, not to copy his build 1 for 1.

I just wanted to chime in and tell you to try the safe space part. I used to have a safe space/power charge lvl 53 BBB and it is a blast (no pun intended). With the boosters from the BBB you can chain-trigger the safe space novas if you are under DOT or heavy fire, and people just fly away from you. It is AMAZING, especially if you are on the bridge during the TD. Thank god for the lost loot machine :eyes:

eh, this can be done with SftR and a quickie. Not really a good indication of a good build. He’s using a build centered on being healty all the time due to the sapper mod, desperate measure will never benefit him.
@aaroncarrier is right. That build can be refined better, tho it is still not bad at all.

But it still works. If someone really enjoys using the shredifier and is always told the gun sucks, then they might not enjoy the game. They might not have thought of a way to make the build work. Just yesterday a thread was posted in the general discussion about how Vladof sucks. Even the best Vladof guns are either nerfed to the point of being in usable or still lack luster. And here is a video of those same Vladof guns killing bosses in seconds.

I can do Takedown on Amara with a breaker and a few decent guns. I altered my old lvl 50 build and moved stuff around. With the new level cap doing takedown is easy. Before it was impossible with the breaker, unless you did a melee build and even then the driver was still miles better. Diver is still better than most gun builds, but if other options work just as well then who cares.

Vladof is king and the shredifier is one of my favourite weapons, I won’t argue with that. My point was just on how not very well optmizied Joltz’s build could have been, regardless of how quickly is killing bosses (which, again, not really a good benchmark).

As you also said, it’s enough to not copy his build 1 for 1. Just adjust it to your playstyle and that’s it.

Agree; Vladof guns are really lagging behind the power curve and need some TLC. How is that a purple double Bezoomy does substantially more damage than a Shredifier or that Vladof’s best assault rifles are a shotgun (Sickle) and a sniper rifle (Lyuda)?

Why cherry pick something isn’t even what I agree with?

I’m not saying Joltz build is perfect or anything, but 2 points in TRL and 3 points in Desperate Measures gives you about 20% gun damage? This would be additive to the 320% he already has from the Pearl and Consecutive Hits anointment - I don’t think he is losing very much.

Hes honestly losing out on 50%actually since he isnt using s recharger shield to proc tenacious defense constantly. It def still matters just makes it pointless to even have desperate measures wheb ur obviously gunna be high health like all the time

Especially when the only other place to put those two points from TRL is Vladof Ingenuity. Seems like you would get more mileage out of the latter.

Nope can only proc after shield fully recharges and recharger can make that happen once every 20 seconds

It’s a good one, used that for quite awhile before getting turned onto BBB and Double Downer…

I made a full Radiation build, and it was great. Without the Red Suit I couldn’t stay on my feet. But I was using a clusterf*ck grenade.

Still prefer the DD though.

I’ve heard a few times that the DD is obsolete because of the new GR perk. I tried not using the DD and relying on that and its not even close. It buffs the DD to obscene levels. Made my favourite shield unstoppable.

My CH/Deathless Redistributor build pretty much can’t die anymore. Long as I don’t go down 3+ times in less than a minute… That one skill actually buffed 1hp builds a lot, especially with DD.

I’m trying to get the stuff together for a Blast Master Double Downer FFYL IB build.

Need to work on the name though.

Idea being using IB to let the ffyl cooldown timer reset, and then just going on foot until my 2nd ffyl.

The problem I have with the Double Downer is it’s a ■■■■■■ shield when you aren’t in the Downed State. The recharge rate is pathetic, the capacity is meh, the delay is not great. The only time I normally hit FFYL on Moze when the second wind isn’t already easy is during the last phase of Wotan and only on True Takedowns and then the DD isn’t helping jack with no adds.

Gotta have a good name. I don’t think I can ever top my “ION a Roll” Moze, though… Anyway, I’ll shut up since I’m getting off topic.
