sorry if i wasnt clear, i was talking about the bee in my post. though, my point still stands, even if the grog “wasn’t useful” on just salvador/zer0, it still does too many things for those classes.
edit: maybe more of sal actually
That’s the thing though, none of its properties are broken at all. The damage is fine, splash damage is balanced, crit bonuses and ammo regen are perfectly balanced. it only becomes a problem when a gun can do all of that at once- there is no specialisation. A gun that can do everything nulls the point of using other guns. Specialised gear are really good at one area, but lack in others. That’s the problem with the Wedding Invitation, its a generalist but still does everything as effectively a specialised piece of gear would.
And yes, you could say that since it’s a limited time event, it should stand out. Though, there are many ways to make a gun stand out without making it good at almost everything. (other than that trading is so much easier in this game)
Not sure why you would use the Grog Nozzle with the Bee. Its a terrible idea unless you are doing crit swapping shenanigans with Salvador (and the Lady Fist is far more impt in that regard). Yeah it does a ton with Salvador, but that’s class synergy more than the Grog being broken in any way. Every game has guns that possess great synergies with classes, the Grog is not special in that regard. And none of the endgame was balanced around Salvador (otherwise OP8 would need to be 5x harder).
A gun that can do everything nulls the point of using other guns.
Well, in practice the Wedding Invitation isn’t that much better than the Headsplosion or Monocle. So its just gonna fill the same niche they do, which is Overkill sniping. Is it the best Sniper in the game? Well, probably. But that’s largely because GB failed to give any Legendary Sniper but the Lyuda (and now the WI) any truly meaningful Legendary effects. When you compare the Sniper pool of Legendaries to Pistols, Shotguns, SMGs or ARs, you will realise how much they got short-changed. Look at it this way, the King’s Call has bonus crit, ricochet projectiles, elements (all of them), ammo mitigation, lifesteal, a far more powerful effect than the WI and is busted with bonus elemental anointments. Yet, the Maggie, Craps, Lucky 7 and Scoville aren’t being made useless. The Rowans call is basically the AR WI, but it ain’t outmoding the Bekah, Dictator, Carrier, Alchemist and Stranger. The problem is with Snipers, not the Wedding Invitation.
The Wedding Invitation isn’t the Bee though. Its more akin to a really strong gun, like the Harold, Pimpernel or Bekah - and OP8 isn’t balanced around these weapons. Anointments are a far more suitable comparison to the Bee.
Not to mention you don’t need the Bee for anything at OP8 but the raids anyway.
Hi, new user here, so pardon me if I’m mucking up. I have a question about this sniper rifle. It was a reward for shooting 100 hearts, right? So playing Borderlands 3 (on PS4) I get the notice that I shot 100 hearts but I never received any rewards. Were they supposed to show up in my inventory? I went back to Sanctuary and talked to the Saurus (Maurice?), but nothing happened.
If you didn’t accept it from the Broken Hearts event tab in your Echo menu while the event was running you can no longer claim it, whether you reached the target or not. If you’re on PS4 I can send you a few versions, otherwise you’ll have to ask someone on the trading forums here or on Reddit.

Wedding Invitation is the first sniper that has been able to stay in my backpack and get used.
So true, I love the one I got with FL4K and haven’t played with the other 3 yet. None annointed, sadly. It’s the kind of weapon GB should make more of. We better enjoy it while we can though as we know what’ll happen with all the talk about how good it is, its inevitable, sadly as well.
