The 'What made you happy thread' /V2

I think it’s mostly from stress and not eating enough, honestly lol. Still, I’ll take it.

Stress is an evil bastard. But being at your ideal body weight should definitely cheer you up some.

Migraine’s gone finally, I hate how even after the ■■■■■■■ things leave I feel like someone bruised my skull.

Well, that second one is what loses weight anyways. Yeah though, if you’re feeling bad maybe try some exercise, or sleeping more if you can.

I have pretty weak joints and a bad back, so most days, even walking is painful. I used to try to lift weights, but I think that I was doing it wrong, because either my wrists or shoulders wound up hurting. I do love to sleep though. It’s a good escape.

Sleeping is good. You need to snorlax.

Any joy with swimming? I sympathise with the bad back. Sometimes all I have to do is look at something heavy, and I get twinges.

Enjoying morning coffee at a leisurely pace while it’s actually cold enough outside to justify a warm beverage

A friend came over to give me an early Christmas present. Mango scented hand cream. My hands get super dry in the winter and sometimes even bleed, so it was a very nice present. He knows I always forget to buy that stuff :stuck_out_tongue:

Doing work man, you may wanna turn those brake handles up on the smaller bike if ya got a little one riding. Make it easy to grip for them. I’m sure there will be happiness in the house here in a few days on your end from the looks of it though.

Rain? Nooooooo!!! Lol, the small bike has the pedal break anyway so most younger kids use those anyways early on.

Pedal brake was awesome for those skid stops
And constantly needing new tires lol

I rode my bike so much I had zero brakes when I was younger. I use to stick my shoe back on the back tire to slow down. Wore out a few pairs of old shoes doing that.

Feeling better than earlier.

Might look into physical therapy, or do some back exercises on your own if you can’t get it. It’ll hurt in the short term, but in the long it’ll reduce the day to day pain. If you don’t have strong back muscles and good habits it’ll just get worse.

Oh god, I live in fear of bicycle breaks failing, though it doesn’t happen randomly on today’s bikes that much

My favourite hair-raising anecdote of failed breaks was from my incredibly badass gran: when she was younger and half way down Honister Pass in the Lake District. It’s a very long, very steep descent (partly pictured below) which often causes serious crashes even with a top notch cycle, to get through it without breaks… :flushed: I’m a weed compared to my family
