Ok. I posted something similar to this a while back… but I SWEAR it’s not a double post.
That post was Garrus dancing to the John Adams theme.
This post is Garrus dancing to the Battlestar Galactica Disco theme.
THEY ARE TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THINGS!!!

Two themes, one dance. Garrus needs to learn some new moves. :bldancing:

I am baffled, out of words. The pic of myself is now my most liked post here.

Before coming out, my appearance was a sour point for me which only got worse when I did. I hated pretty much everything about myself. After @MidnightNova visited me in December, I knew I had to do something. My fear of everything crippled myself badly and thus had an influence on how much we could actually do together. A month later I started playing Pokémon GO with the intend of getting me to socialize. It was a slow, rocky path. I avoided people as much as I could which greatly limited what I could actually do with this game as you might expect.

Eventually my habits improved however which could be seen with the Community Days in particular as I knew I had to go to more crowded places, whether I liked it or not. Naturally I was scared about how people would look at me and initially I did get some odd looks but no other verbal or even physical harassment. Eventually I was able to do my first Legendary raids, only at CDs due to the many people playing at that time of course. The actual breakthrough didn’t happen until @daerksiea pushed me to play on one particular day which got me my first Legendary raid outside a CD (Latios). Coincidence it might have been, it helped immensely.
From then on I actively sought out Legendary raids in hopes of getting more done until eventually someone offered me to join the local raid group (I did in fact mean to ask someone about this on the very same day too so it just worked out). They fully accept me and treat me with kindness. Although I assume some have doubts about me (especially because of my voice), I’ve had a great time so far. As of today I have done 72 of those Legendary raids, even more than normal ones (at 54), something I thought was an impossibility when I started this game. Especially Articuno Day was a blast even if I did fall into depression while it was ongoing. I even met an actual friend through this game too!

Things haven’t been perfect of course and some things happened in that time but overall I really am happy with myself now, for the most part anyway. People compliment me, three dudes have hit on me so far (although the first one was sexual harassment), even though I am not into guys, what’s really for me to whine about? Naturally I have lost some weight which has helped a lot for my self-confidence and I am very close to what I consider my ideal weight (although I am already far below the average person). This very thought process let me to show you people that very pic of myself. There might be more in the future, who knows?

Well, there you have it. It’s a long post and although I do not actively participate here anymore, I still felt like sharing this story for the sake of the good times I did have here. Thank you.

Plum trees really did great this year, haven’t even picked most of them and I’m still having trouble keeping up with eating them.

New Smash Bros characters.

Simon and Richter Belmont from Castlevania are playable characters, Alucard is an Assist Trophy, Chrom from Fire Emblem is finally playable and not just part of Robin’s Final Smash, Dark Samus (!!!) is an Echo Fighter on Samus, and King K. Rool is in

Hot Damn!

Could do the first, but I’d be more inclined to try something like a cobbler. Allergic to yeast, so no to the second.

or you could make plum cordial

  • 500 g plums stones removed and coarsely chopped
  • 500 ml of water
  • approximately 275g white sugar
  • 25 ml lemon juice
  • 25 ml orange juice
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar
  • 1 vanilla bean split and seeds scraped

Instructions

  1. Add the plums to a saucepan, along with the water and bring to a simmer over medium-high heat. Simmer for 15 minutes.

  2. Strain through a fine sieve, pressing to extract juice, discard solids, then strain liquid through muslin or paper towel and pour the liquid into a measuring jug and note how much liquid remains.

  3. Return to the saucepan to a medium heat and combine the plum liquid with an equal measure of sugar. Stir until sugar dissolves.

  4. Add vanilla seeds and the lemon and orange juice, bring to the boil, reduce heat to low-medium and simmer for 5 minutes.

  5. Remove from heat, add vinegar and stir to combine, then transfer to a sterile glass bottle, seal and refrigerate.

I’ve got to admit, using the pits to make something appeals to me. Might give that a try, albeit without the vinegar.
