If you ever get the chance, Cape Breton is incredible for scenery and food.

Nova Scotia? (Or NB?)
So I was toldā¦
They had students from a small Caribbean Island at some point in time. You know, the kind you can drive the perimeter in half a day. Drove a part, a āpartā, of the Cabot Trail. Of course they absolutely loved the scenery but once back at the college they wanted to see what part of Canada they traveled on the map⦠
A dot !!!
Apparently the channel is something to navigate. Only one ship at a time and you still have the tides and winds to figure out. āA real wind funnelā she said. As for the weather. I had to send her the pic or she wouldnāt beleive me.

This. The north-eastern peninsula. And then you can drop down to Bras DāOr (I think I spelled that correctly?) and check out the AG Bell museum there.

Not sure in terms of hours, since I tend to leave things running, but I picked it up a bit more than a week ago. Maybe forty-ish hours? I wasnāt exactly efficient though.

Turns out Subnautica is completely unplayable on XB1 because after the first save it will not save again, and the game eventually locks up. It looks like the same issue as Bethesda games - you keep getting told thereās no room, even though thereās plenty of room on your local drive.
Anything else I want to say would more properly be in the āThings that made me rantā thread (if there is one). Which would be cathartic, but not necessarily constructive.

Sunshine! Two days of it! And almost no wind.
And teeny tiny green buds on my forsythia (which normally blooms in late February but it hasnāt really hit freezing yet this winter, so might get an early bloom).
This time of year when we get these rare breaks of sunshine it feels like food to me.

So Iāve had the house to myself for the first time in a few weeks, itās New Yearsā, and Iām feeling really good for the first time in awhile. Did dishes, folded laundry. Got some good progress in Dark Souls earlier, and finally watched the Cowboy Bebop movie.
Alone time is good.
Stop snickering. : D

Blue skies, sunshine, no wind, and a moderate temperature for the time of year. (The last of those is quite surprising given the blue skies - normally it would have to be a lot colder to get those.)
Also, these (even if the tins do keep getting smaller):

Those are hard to find out this way! Most of the time Iāve found decent curds (meaning : actually fresh) theyāre in tiny packages and expensive.
Note to non-Canadians : poutine is a national food - specific to Quebec - and requires fresh cheese. They squeak!

Can be found in⦠Wisconsin! Where they, you guessed it, deep fry them!
They donāt make poutine though.
Or a very strange variation.
-edit- Just looked at @Jefe Wiki link. Approved by this proud Quebecer!
Wouldnāt give much credit to the Princeville claim though. Even if the Princeville ācheese plantā make the best cheese curds. Everyone know that.
That part:
" Today, it is often identified as quintessential Canadian food and has been called āCanadaās national dishā, though some believe this labelling represents misappropriation of QuĆ©bĆ©cois culture".
Really make me laugh. Because itās true. Kinda. So many years being made fun at for it. (All good. we make fun of them too. ) Then the next day itās their dish!
And yes. It squeak !
