Even though, I’m having a good day today, my hips in particular are giving me trouble. Shoulder, back usual everyday pain but yeah, stiff to walk.

Stephen King’s “The Frowning”…
Some kid on “Destiny 1” yesterday that’s apparently a friend of my friends. Told @AMG_75 that this kid was just vulgar as ■■■■ – everything became sexual innuendo to a disgusting degree, and he laughed off my telling him to stop; after I told him that he needed to stop, he laughed it off – and I shut down. Didn’t mute my mic, just simply shut down – and for me to do that, I have to be REALLY pissed. Eventually, I left in disgust.
After talking with @AMG_75, I told him that simpy leaving was eating at me and I felt the need to let my friends know exactly why I left. They told me that they even noted that – “oh, where’d Raven go?” – and dropped it afterward that I probably left because of him.

You are always welcome to jump into my game if you need to escape/vent Raven.
‘…need to…’?
Okay, yeah, that was a definite ‘need to’.
I attempted to watch the Dark Tower movie. Key word being being attempted and unlike Warcraft and Star Wars Episode VII I was in the position of being able to shut it off before I suffered further more.
No wonder Hollywood has to keep remaking movies. They keep butchering everything else that few people let them touch what they made.

Ouch, truth.
What.
You didn’t know?
NOTE: This one may be related…:
I’ve little issue with “Maleficent” as it was not a story transplant like “Beauty and the Beast” from one film format to another, but “B&B”…
BT/DT, no thank you.
#unnecessary
#anti-excavatious
Yeah, B/B sucked. in all forms. But they do have some good ones. Tangled was great.
To be fair, “Tangled” was CG, never (IIRC) quite done before – and it was good. The characters were pretty good, and the story-v-humor was pretty balanced, not like how I think “The Force Awakens” was comparatively bad for that imbalance (=yes, pun intended!).
Back to the matter at hand, “Beauty and the Beast” was animated in 1991 – and I’d already seen it. So you can imagine my reaction to seeing the live-action trailer and seeing everything transplanted. Yeah, originality much?
tbf, live action never works out.
If I may, I think live-action rarely works out when done by studios. “Mortal Kombat Annihilation”, trying to blend almost two games worth of story into one AND having bad CG? Prime example of horribility. “Ender’s Game”? Pretty good (IMO) for how it turned out.
When you have it done by independent guys, tho, I think the results are far often better:
…or decent:
I knew about the remakes (all of those are) but you lost me at what you were getting at by the post. There has also been a movie or two made long ago for Aladdin already.
My point was about not seeing one to the remakes besides more money. It’s basically C&P to me.
Really?
Also Pete’s Dragon is a really OLD movie made back in 1977. I remember watching it growing up and I am willing to bet money the remake does not have the scene where the gun guy gives the dragon an entire flask of liquor.
Though I am sure a few of those movies are older. I just looked up the animated Jungle Book which was made in 1967 apparently.
Oh, sorry, i thought you meant after the '92 one.
Dunno, I just know of that one, and Dumbo was made 1941 apparently. Never realized it was that old and it is kinda fun looking up when these movies were made.
I think that’s the first one – the upcoming live-action one seems to serve no point to me besides re-telling the animated one word-for-word, which was my issue with the live-action “Beauty and the Beast”.
