Hellborn maina did get me though op1 and 2 with little problem, but i am being a scrub lord and using a fotfh ATM planning on picking up a rr if I ever feel like doing the dlc again.
Nothing wrong with the Hawk, but it won’t protect you from StV hits.
Yeah I’ll get a RR when ever I hit like op4 or 5 also I need a food weapon for fire based enemy’s like scorch any suggestions. Preferably an easy farm so no twister.
They usually use Moxxi stuff with a B/H build.
Badly named “Hellborn”
Hellborn/bloodlust is fun it just tears though ammo and bad guys alike. Everything’s on fire and exploding what more could u want.
very impossibru to survive op8 without FotF…
gud healing
… much rabid stalker rage
wow
Wow very cool. Thank you.
It’s interesting then that Krieg seems to be the only character that does not immediately benefit from his only inherent skill (BXR) without everything melee-related in Mania maxed in OP levels (I mean, if you cannot kill anything while rampaging). I mean compared to, say, gunzerking or tossing out a turret or so.
Thank you for enlightening me!
May I ask 3 more questions here please?
- Does Elemental Empathy heal for any DoT status effect you inflict (including corrosion and shock damage)?
- Why does Fuel the Fire seem so unpopular with many people?
- Numbed Nerves: I do not entirely understand how damage reduction stacks / doesn’t stack; while I understand that Taste of Blood and Numbed Nerves have different conditions (only while rampaging, stacks of BL / only while on fire), I’m not sure I understand what happens when I wear a RR (which I currently do). When I spec into ToB, I feel pretty invincible when rampaging; when specced into NN, I don’t feel all that safe. Maybe it’s because I don’t have enough points in Hellborn to keep myself permanently ignited, maybe because of something else. In any case, what about both: Will a “cap” on damage reduction keep me from enjoying benefits of both NN and ToB together if wearing a RR?
thank you
- Only if you take the skill delusanal damage I think it’s called.
- I wouldn’t say it’s unpopular it’s just not the best skill and with a leg torch putting 1 in it makes it 6/5 which is plenty
- There’s a thread going about damage reduction maybe give it a read because I can’t help you on this one.
Remember, RtB gives an additional 50% damage reduction. When you activate RtB and have 100 stacks of bloodlust with ToB specced with your RR, that’s 120% damage reduction.
If you’re using a hellborn/bloodlust spec, then you don’t have RtB and the 50% damage reduction that comes with it. That might be why you feel less safe.
No.
I believe it’s only burn damage, but @xmngr should know more.
It’s a bit redundant with Burn, Baby, Burn, and it only applies to DoT chance, not damage.
It all gets added together. Check out this thread for more information on DR.
There is no cap, but you cannot be completely immune to damage. I read awhile back the max damage reduction is like 69% or so. Remember there’s a difference between Damage Resistance (which is what your shield and skills give you) and actual damage reduction, which is the amount of damage that is subtracted by the incoming damage.
It heals you for all DoT damage, including shock and corrosive DoTs. And I don’t believe you need Delusional Damage for this, but don’t quote me.
Because his 2 most popular gun based coms already boost it by +5, his Legendary Reaper and Torch. So for 1 point at 6/5 that is +240% chance to cause a status effect, and for normal play you basically never need more than that. And your points are better spent else where.
Does anybody know who maintains the BL 2 skill calculator? Elemental Empathy says burn damage and not elemental damage, which is why I gave @onomastikon the wrong information.
Yes. But it is seen better on corrosion and fire DoT
The only thing Delusional Damage does is override both Burn, Baby, Burn and Fuel the Fire so that self-ignition happens with the other elements aswell.
Yes, sorry, the bl2 skill calculator has mislead me again. Thank you all muchly. Need much practice with Hellborn, I’m currently too stupid to make it work well.
The ignite chance is still based on BBB and FtF though, so neither skill is made irrelevant.
I wasn’t trying to say that the skill did little or nothing but instead to point out exactly what the skill does. Often we see posts where the skill does more than what it actually should (e.g.: enabling the +burn damage modifier from Burn, Baby, Burn to the other elements).
Thanks so much. Found a nice purple Toast mod and specced back into Hellborn at 41, then back out again after some unexpected deaths and waited till 44 so I could get PiP and the third tier ones (which my mod boosts). Managed to survive all of Exploitation Preserve and Bloodhawk, but it was pretty touch and go at times, got lucky in FFYL, and went back to my Beef Slab and Bloodlust until I hit 50ish (where I can get Elm Emp). I really enjoy Hellborn, it is more interesting, it seems, and versatile, than Bloodlust, but I’m just too stupid to make it work yet. Will try it again in the low 50s and see how I fare at the very end of TVHM and UVHM with it. Thanks much to all.
