In my defence, I didn’t KNOW it had a 100 person limit until it hit 100 and I found myself unable to add some new BB friends I had made to it!

Also, Sony, in their infinite wisdom, made it impossible for the chat owner to remove people who never or rarely post from the chat.

VERY annoying!

Well, i’m sure you will figure it out; you’ve helped the PS4 Battleborn community out greatly by creating that chat in the first place.

Anyways, i’m gonna quit derailing this thread, because the OP isn’t on PS4, and i fear the squirt bottle. Hit me up whenever you need a fifth guy who’s competent even when abysmally (and frequently) drunk!

That synergy is Rath’s ability to set up kills. It’s easy for a teammate to take down someone that has just received a knock up, silence and slow along with a nice burst of damage. Caldarius and Mellka come in with either a blind or another slow along with some DoT and goodbye enemy player. When I play with a team that is aware of Rath’s set up potential, I will usually get as many assists as our support and sometimes even more.

I am a die hard fan. Put in hundreds of hours into this game. And I am about to throw in the towel. Sucks, but it’s true.

Every single game I play is against a full team of level 105

We get pubstomped every single time.

I don’t have time to play a lot. So I feel like I am just wasting my time playing now. I don’t have any friends that play (they all quit after repeated pubstomping). I don’t feel like making new friends to form teams JUST so I can enjoy quick match. I like being able to play by myself and have a chance.

I love the game, but it is what it is.

Ever tried Mellka? She’s a bit weird but she’s probably one of the most fun characters to play. Just in general. As long as you take air stall. Oh, and did you see the winter update stream? This game is gonna change a LOT very soon. I can give you the link if you haven’t yet

Choosing Frag Canister hurts more than her venom

Air Stall is key to her air game, which is her game. Not only are you missing out on something so good, you’re losing the ability to hit canisters from far away, which is nearly essential. Never take Frag canister. Taking nothing would be better.
Fun fact time
Originally, when venom applied on every gun hit from base, and dealt no damage, and she was a stealth melee assassin who had to venom to deal damage, Air Stall was opposite refined canisters on level 7 (only increased mag). Meanwhile Frag was still level 3 and opposite something worse. This is relative proof of its goodness

Ok, I think I will be using air stall from now on. I guess frags deal less damage and are harder to aim, so makes sense.

I write about Air Stall and Frag Canister in here, so easier to just to link it than repeat myself :stuck_out_tongue:

To elaborate slightly (because that guide doesn’t touch on playstyle yet), the massive benefit of Venom Canister is that it is a powerful and very precise long-range attack. Once Mellka’s fall-off kicks in on her primary (which doesn’t take long), sniping with canisters is much better damage than taking potshots. It also is crucial as a way to bombard minion waves from afar whenever you’re locked out of lane, for whatever reason - a shock turret, excessive CC, too many enemies in lane, etc.

Until you get level 8, the canister is also the only way to reliably venom someone at range. Frag Canister barely has more range than using Parting Gift - which also handles the spread of venom just fine - so it really has no place in her arsenal. All it does it take away one of Mellka’s most important fighting tactics.

That, and Air Stall is the best.

Received this game as a gift from a friend. Really enjoying it so far, except for finding out there is a 100 minute timer on story missions. Was running solo, just started fight with ISIC with 6 lives left, and mission fails.
