•The unbalanced gameplay-
I would say the game is actually rather balanced at the moment, a few tweaks are needed here and there though.
•Collision with terrain problems-
Yeah sometimes it is annoying clipping everything, it could be tighter collision detection for sure.
•Really clunky and unresponsive menus
My biggest gripe with the menus is the loading time for your own profile
•Close to absolutely zero marketing
This is a big one, I completely forgot the game was coming out soon and I only knew of it because I saw a youtube video a few months back.
•Leavers/Quitters-
This is a huge issue, I’m really just hopeful that they weren’t penalizing people because it was a beta and I’m also hoping when the full game comes out people wont be leaving like that. (People who try the game and don’t like it are the majority of quitters)
TL;DR: There are minor issues but the game is ready to launch IMO

That’s what I’m hoping for. One of the biggest things I enjoy about a game is involved Developers. They need to keep us updated on whats going on. IDK if anyone here plays or keeps up on Black Ops 3, but then you’d know about the whole supply drop ■■■■■■■■, and that the Devs dont do anything about it and just take your money anyway.

I found more balance issues on skill level of players than characters, sure there are some things like Isic’s Ulti that might need to be balanced but overall it seemed more teams with better communication and more experienced FPS players won on skill.
On collision I heard people complain about it but I didn’t have any issues, I guess I’m used to in an FPS you can’t run through things, there have not yet been FPS MOBAs so just because other ones don’t have this does not mean this should not. In fact I saw many using body blocks with tanks to help teammates escape better.
I somewhat agree on the menu, the loot system is still low but I didn’t really have unresponsive issues it was fast and smooth.
On the quitters I’ve heard (not confirmed) that they didn’t have penalties for people quitting out in the beta because they just wanted to encourage people to play. I hope they have something built in for this in the final version.

Collision detection could be better but it’s not that bad once you get used to playing with it. I’m hoping they do end up penalizing quitters more in ranked play, but not normal matches. Other than that I think the balancing is alright and I’d imagine they will be spending all of their marketing budget in one go soon (remember people, they’re not Blizzard, they can’t throw up golden bricks to put into their marketing plans).
No game is perfect on launch, and really no game is perfect period.
Regarding unbalanced Matches/PUBs vs Groups, I would like Battleborn to have a similar system to what The Last of Us’ Multiplayer had, where there were two different ‘modes’(No Parties Allowed & Parties Allowed).
This would allow people who would prefer to go against other people who aren’t in a group to join No Parties & those who want to group up & go against other groups in Parties Allowed.
It works really well in that game, so I think it might work in this game, too.

No parties allowed and parties allowed sounds like a great idea, mate!

The last bit of balance tweaks will be in the day one patch, the beta was there for this reason.
For the rest I won’t really comment on, other than that you should wait until after the release before judging.

Overall the game seemed pretty balanced to me. Sure a couple of characters need a slight tweak (Ambra, Gali) but on the most part its just down to people trying to play every character as one who can rush in and get kills when that simply isnt the case.
The only thing i want from the devs is to simply not bow to peer pressure and balace the game how they see fit not how each person wants the character to perform better. Otherwise the game will be ruined.

I’ve seen activation pads embedded in the ground and a few other graphical glitches. Gameplay seems solid though. Loot system is deep and interesting. Performance is wonderful considering my age-ing (close to decade-old) hardware.
Seems strange to me that the game has gone gold and development is largely over and yet they’re still calling this a beta. What that means is that they’re shipping a beta. Certainly one that is close to-release but where a little more polish would be beneficial. Sure there’ll be a day-one patch but the game on the disc Amazon are sending me is not an 100% complete one.
I think the menus are great but maybe that’s relative to the CTT menus - there’s been a hella lot of interface improvement in that area.

I don´t see a big imbalance within the characters …
Sure … there are some that kick a bit too much ass right now but a few tweaks and they are fine. Even the way it is now there is nothing gamebreaking … it is inherent to a game with such an “asymmetrical” lineup of characters where all are different that some will be favored against others (in certain situation).
What´s the problem with Collision? Yes, you can get stuck between minions, heroes … and yes, a big bulky guy may offer advantages or disadvantages depending on the situation. I think the collision system is working fine and cohesive. It´s not like there´s something unpredictable or unfair …
Not having any problems with the menus … there´s even a sort and rename function (as long as they work … stuck in gear screen, ahem)
True … and it sucks … but it´s not like the game will be any better if we either hype the world before release or belie the haters later.
True … can´t be that hard to work in compensation for the remaining ppl, bots as replacement and punishment for the leaver jerks though. I´m confident they can do that quickly.

A lot of people are iffy about bots being used a replacements for quitters, since they tend to either be strategic geniuses made of nightmares, or feeders. I’m not sure which they are in this game, since I’m lucky enough to be in the NA server, so there were plenty of players and I ran into only 1 bot. It’s a problem that MOBAs have struggled with for a while, though. Hopefully the only reason why quitting wasn’t punished was that this is a Beta, so you aren’t being held to moral standards.
It’s worth taking most of the aspects of the Beta with a pinch of salt, since there will be more changes and updates before launch, and I’m sure that Gearbox will continue testing in the weeks before launching.
And let’s all admit that Gearbox, while good developers, do not have a strong marketing ethic. Which is fine. It means they work harder to make sure that the game speaks for itself so that word-of-mouth will market for them. Battleborn is the first Gearbox game I’ve heard of BEFORE launch, or have seen ANY ads for at all.
Galilea is in a pretty borderline OP at the moment. she has the vacuum mutation + shield stun. This can kill someone who is at a range quickly. Just a quick sprint and plant the vacuum, then stun. Plus the damage spike from her blade shooting talent.

I played one or two matches with bots when I introduced new players to the beta … as far as I can tell they were not particularly good or bad … they were quite defensive sometimes and let you get away when they could have chased and finished you … I guess I have definitely seen worse (suicidal) players than bots though … so they got that going for them.
Ofc bots are no perfect solution … but if there is no compensation for the remaining players (or is there? o.0) and ppl can´t (re)join a game that´s in play than I would prefere a mediocre bot to being short a character.

I think bots are very bad. Me and a friend played a game against two bots, Boldur and Whiskey Foxtrot. I was Montana, he was OM. Well, we split up and I find both my enemies at one lane, kill them both. That’s not the worst thing, we didn’t see Foxtrot like half of the match. He was idling in his base or something? He didn’t do a thing, he was just gone and ever after searching him we couldn’t find him.

Well I think it´s quite unfair to compare 2 players vs 2 bots …
What we are talking about is 5 players vs. 4 players+ 1 bot or something along those lines.
Anyway … pls don´t get the impression that I am pro-bots above everything else … I just think it´s better than nothing until the right solution is found!

I am not comparing bots to people, I was not suprised that I’d beat the 2 bots with ease. But why the heck was Foxtrot gone about half of the match? If you get a bot like that in a 4v5 match, so it get 5v5 again, he is no use because he ain’t doing anything anyways.

Well I guess the missing bot was obviously a bug then?
… even in such a case it wouldn´t be worse than having a leaver with no countermeasure anyway.
And again … It´s not like I think bots are the perfect solution but it’s most likely better than nothing.

Yes, bots are better than nothing. Except for when they make the bots so bad they just feed your enemy team, but I’m sure they won’t.
And after like half the match Foxtrot decided to show up again. Like, I killed him, we didn’t see him for half the match, and then he came back like “Hey guys, I’m back! Just needed a cup of tea, but now I’m back to killing!” I don’t think it was a bug, more like… Idk, he was probably too busy collecting shards… For 6 minutes.

Yeah I get it … you had one game with bots where you killed both of them and one was somehow missing for most of the game, ergo bots can not be considered a solution.
… at all … ever.
Apparently none of us have tested bots thoroughly and thus this argument is pretty mindless … ( not to mention the devs could always fix / rework bots behavior if they saw a need )
Either way … let´s leave it at that … I`m sure Gearbox will come up with a good solution for launch and it´s not like our opinions will change that anyway.

I literaaly said that they should add bots, but not feeders. And then I said that they probably won’t add bots that are feeders.
That second part was just a response to you saying that it was probably a bug, but I don’t think it was a bug.
We are having the same opinion really, I just stated one problem I once had with 1 bot.
