Thoughts on the Level Cap & Experience?

Ok, so now that I’ve mastered a few characters, whom I seem to play with the majority of the time since I f*****g love them, I often feel that it is disappointing that you stop getting either levels or character experience if you’re using a level 15 character at command rank 100.

I know you are always putting more numbers into challenge completions, earning credit, and maybe unlocking new titles, but I still wish my characters could earn more of…something?

Does anyone have any thoughts on possible implementable rewards for playing with maxed characters at CR 100?

Moar credits and moar skins/titles for doing special feats with a BB.

They should just push it up to 250 and 25. Then give command packs for every 5 levels for BB. Personally I’ve yet to master that many (I have like 6 characters at 13 when I got bored), but that would incentivise as well as assure skins. Also, maybe make new lore challenges and even mutations in a future update?

Ooooo like “master” lore challenges. Then at 25 and completing there master lore challenges get titles like “I AM el dragon”

Something I’ve recently been giving some thought to is xp conversion, such that, if you are ChR 15, any character xp you receive is converted into command xp, and, if you are CR 100, any command xp you receive is converted into character xp. If you are at command rank 15 and character rank 100, it would then get converted into additional credits. The conversion rate would need to be tweaked to something other than 1:1 because I don’t believe that command xp and character xp are divvied out at the same rate (I would probably make the conversion somewhat inefficient as well).

Of course, a more interesting solution, in my mind, would be a system where the player chooses one of a number of different reward options (loot pack, including legendary loot pack as an option, a guaranteed taunt/skin, credits/xp earned bonuses, maybe even platinum) and the “waste” xp is then spent on acquiring said chosen reward, with “better” rewards costing more (e.g. a legendary loot pack costs 10k xp; an epic loot pack costs 300; a taunt/skin pack costs 500; etc.). Swapping between awards would reset your progress back to 0.

There has been numerous discussions about post cap progression since the first players reached the limit.

The only response from GBX that I’ve seem was this:

So I guess they’re working on it?

There is a very simple answer for this and I don’t think it would be hard for them to do.

After hitting Rank 100 or Character Rank 15.

Any unused XP gets converted to additional Credits.

Credits are actually useful in this game and can buy stuff like LOOT!!

They’d have to figure out a decent conversion rate but this would totally solve the empty feeling players get after hitting 100.

No awkward “Prestige” system needed.

Folks happy…

Done!

The first should be implemented ASAP IMO, as I’ve personally thought that’s how it should work since day 1. The second one… I’d love it, but I’d only expect to see it in a sequel of some sort.

They need to implement some sort of “Prestige” status. Allow players to start over at lvl 1 while either earning a title, Legendary Loot Pack, or something worthy of getting to 100 then starting again.

They could also add lvls for each specific game type. Have a BB lvl, with a separate Incurison/Meltdown/Capture lvl.

You could also apply this to characters as well. Start again after a master for a title, Loot Pack, etc.

Or they could allow players to gain additional Credits for completing games at Max lvl and Max Character lvl.

I was hoping those T2 & T3 were earnable while playing a character at max rank but you have to use your wallet.

Honestly i think a simple answer would just be random loot packs of rare or better for each time after you get to lvl 15 or 100. im not sure exactly how much exp it takes to go from lvl 14 to 15 or 99 to 100 but i remember it being a lot.
