My thoughts about it are quite simple, I’m not getting it because it’s clearly a cash grab,I bought the Super Deluxe Edition with the intention of paying for all the content up front and now this happens.

Yeah I know what was clearly printed that the season included but to pull this crap on a game that still has issues, some of which haven’t been fixed since launch, is clearly a cash grab.

People can do what they want with their money but if we accept this then all future games will go this path just like when micro transactions started happening, the next thing you know every damn game had them in one form or the other with CoD being the absolute worst offender.

Here in the US it only took 6 months for 50% (off) if a person was willing to wait for the Steam Release. But I think with the free upgrade for console players to Next Gen there won’t be a major sale again that includes EVERYTHING, both Season Passes, until they have all the kinks worked out in Crossplay across platforms, to encourage more people picking up the game and playing Arms Race, which sounds like it’s meant to be a multiplayer experience.

No way I’m gonna purchase this thing upfront people can test it for a few weeks even if it looks great on the previews. All the streamers (BL3 YouTube media team) will no doubt say how amazing it all is. We haven’t played for a while now which is a shame. Hope season pass 2 has some decent content but by the sounds of it maybe not.

one thing i keep seing is how ppl think about the season pass including ALL future dlc and i think 1 thats unreasonable

however that being said
after how dlc 3 was already meh in content and only shines with its beyond broken weapons
and how dlc 4 is 1/3rd of an actual dlc

they rly should not make MODES and skilltrees that FIX the characters they fked up payed content
especially after dlc 4

while i also think that ppl who say we got the events for free are actually mentally ill or something because

limited
content, that not even gets cleared of bugs, they literally copy pasted the event with all its bugs and even let the wrong dates from last year inside to promote it

the events are no arguemnt, not with so many games doing big free content events, patches, updates

bl3 is in a store right next to me 2 euros right now… like i can get a ps4 borderlands 3 base edition for 2 fking euros.
thats rly insane

but all things considered a goty edition will come and most likely limited to ps5 and series x
and i could see that taking a bit longer to drop

no doubt, streamers and all these youtube sellouts are not a good source of info anymore
their issue is they no longer talk about it critically

best example is thicc or epicc or whoever it was, and the review to dlc 4, in the minute review he said like idk 30 ish times its great
said several times the dlc has this issue and that issue
and then is like
its a near perfect dlc with almost no flaws, and im like… WUT
how does that make ANY sense

Yup. So to everyone complaining 20 times a day about your dislike of this or that, ‘cash grab’ etc. - vote with your wallet. Talk is cheap. :slight_smile:

I don’t share most of critical opinions about BL3, so I’ll probably buy new skill trees/new game mode as it holds a decent value to me. Need to learn more about the other stuff to form an opinion. Just like with any other product out there.

With the new skill trees, content, modes, etc. it seems certain we will see the lvl cap increase. All this announcement did for me was burst my bubble that we might stay at 65 for a while and reaffirm that I should stay in my holding pattern until greater time and effort won’t be wasted.
As for buying season pass 2, I have to have all Borderlands content, so yeah.

i highly expect at least a few increases propably even going to 81 eventually
bl2 ended 8 years ago at 71 plus the op lvls 8
and then way later lvl 80 plus 10 op lvls

with the new skilltrees i assume they will go closer to that just to keep ppl playing somehow

Recently bl3 has come out saying more content is on the way but instead of given it to season pass we must pay for another seprate pass ?

Why why should we have to and deluxe eds wont get it free !
This is a outrage this is not how the system works.

Pre sequel season pass all dlcs

Bl3 season pass half. Season pass 2 more.

You didn’t get all the DLC with BL2 season pass though. Headhunters weren’t covered under it and you had to pay separately for those.

TPS seasons pass covered everything because they didn’t release any new content after Claptastic. Otherwise, any DLC beyond that wouldn’t have been covered.

BL3 season pass covered the 4 campaign DLC released by September 2020. Any DLC beyond this point isn’t covered. Gearbox never made any indication that they wouldn’t release more DLC after the initial 4.

Season passes in general are a rip off. You pay for content that isn’t even finished yet ahead of time because you trust the company will do a good job. This new season pass isn’t any more of a rip off than BL2’s.

I don’t think we (and maybe they) fully even know what it IS yet.

AFAIK it’s a new mode and a fourth skill tree.

What else do we really know? Will we get:
Additional levels/story content per normal DLCs?
Level caps raised?
A second new mode?
New gear (apart from new anointments)?
A paid-for takedown?

They’ve been super vague about the whole thing so far. I hope there is a SOLID roadmap (not just a roadmap, but a very clear one) before it releases Nov 10.

As of right now, I actually think it might make my game LESS fun for me if I buy it. I’ve been wanting to just stay at a level and work on builds/collect gear, and if it results in more dilution of anointments, rebalancing of current gear and/or skills, or a level cap raise, it would make me unhappy.

personally from bl2 i wasnt remotly dissapointed
first dlc was kinda nice somehow i liked the atmopshere
dlc 2 was a little mhh, but still okay, dlc 3 was okay aswell dlc 4 was just AMAZING
also i got gaige from this
also i go level increase from this
also i got repeatable content from this
also i got tons of base content per dlc for this
also i got stackable secret bosses
also got seraph rarity and a seperate cool farming loop to mix things up

out of all of this the only dlc i was legit annoyed by is the torgue dlc because of all the driving
the driving sucks

another season pass i didnt regret buying and the other 1 i ever got was smash bros ultimate, and that pass was for me at least rly amazing <.<

I think it’s far too early to judge season pass 2. We don’t even know what the second DLC in it will be! To me it sounds like some kind of Diablo 3 end game stuff, random map dungeon, multi boss revisiting thing, and/or a speedrun “cut”/mode. Just from the title, anyhow. Maybe that’s just what I want from it, or maybe it’s what I feel is missing.

If the xtra skill trees don’t interest you, sure I get that (but I also don’t understand because I love extra skill trees to play with).

We can’t even judge arms race yet.

As for recent Zane buffs, I agree with what they did. They attempted to buff the parts of Zane that were underperforming. That is literally the best approach to Zane right now. Now, perhaps they didn’t buff those things enough. I haven’t tried that or witnessed a youtube on that topic yet so I can’t judge that.

They are still the same concept though. If BL3 season pass is a rip off, every season pass is a rip off. BL2’s doesn’t suddenly become not a rip off because you liked the game. If that were the case, then BL3 season pass wouldn’t be a rip off either since plenty of people also enjoyed all the content released so far.

If a season pass being a rip off is dependent solely on whether or not you like the content, then there isn’t any objective quality to whether they are worth the cost. Which is fine, I believe that to be the case anyway, but then threads comparing the BL2 season pass to BL3 are kind of pointless because it all boils down to “that’s like, your opinion, man”.

the first half of this pass is them making us buy the skilltree and mode together
thats the first half

and evidently since the past pass taught us anything then the next part is less then the first part
