Tier 2 and 3 Skins missing?

I was told by some official people (can’t remember their names) on the forums that the full game release would have 3 tiers of skins, tier 1 - color swaps, tier 2- themed looks, tier 3- total character model changes… But the visuals I see ing the menus of the fully released game only have the color swaps… Are the more interested skins still in the game, and if so, how do they unlock? Is it by completing secret challenges? Is it by finding them as loot only? Pretty disappointing if they’re missing…

The only skins you can view are the ones from leveling up that character. There are more skins to get from the faction loot packs. As for if tier 2 and 3 are in, not sure. But there are definitely more skins than what you’re seeing at least.

I heard that they have not released the tier 2 or 3 skins yet, that they will be up coming in a patch or something and for now it is all just color changed skins. Even for the unlock-able ones you get in packs. Although its not from a reliable source so if anyone knows better or has a tier 2 or 3 skin show a screen shot.

I appreciate the response @Jythri ! You guys are always great about keeping us in the loop. I’ve been getting the word out about the game too… hopefully a few friends will be picking it up soon… Looking forward to those skins-related content updates though… i love earning new appearances… its actually a really important aspect of the game for me!

p.s. off topic, you guys have any plans for any fantasy rpgs sometime? Maybe 3rd person? I know some people are gonna be like “wha?”, but I think I just trust you guys to make a game good enough to rival diablo. Not many companies could. That’s why I’d love to see a gearbox 3rd person action rpg looter with local and online co-op… I know, I’m crazy, but it’s something I’ve wanted to see for a long time… and nobody say “just play Diablo,” I have my own reasons for hating that wack game.

Cool to hear about the skins. You mention content updates and I’d just like to say please go slow… especially with characters… please don’t let power creep up and ruin this game (Evolve has kind of scarred me in this regard… way too much added all at once and the power creep got way out of control (power creep pretty much always happens in games like this with added characters))

Also still excited for the new skins and stuff. You guys should do community weekend events or something too.

Yea for people who want to get character skins, save your credits and don’t spend them on any faction loot packs yet - currently the only skin that seems to be dropping from those are the “winter” themed skins.

That’s good to know. I’ve been buying faction loot packs in the hopes of skins but I’ll focus on gear from now until they release Tier 2 customization. Thank you for the response!

On a side note, some of the recolors look pretty good. I got a skin for Ambra and it’s absolutely gorgeous (purple and teal).

There is a Reddit post of people who posted a few skins from the Beta. not sure which were tier 2 or 3 but so far I saw:

Between this and the purple + yellow skins I’ve seen around, I may have been wrong.

I just keep getting the white skins, I’m at 3 so far and the white skins were what I was seeing the most from other players.

Woah woah woah woah. Can I get a refund on the packs I bought then?
I’ve gone through 14 of them now and haven’t gotten anything, turns out it’s not in the game yet!? Why are these packs buyable then?

There are still at least 10 (it seems) skins per pack available and taunts.
