I didn’t realize this was here so I’ll paste

All the rogues are awesome (except reyna as usual lol) and little stuff like original nintento controller Isic, Warcraft fel demon kelvin, samus Galilea, Lord Raptor Shayne, night elf Thorn are all cool. Flame paint job Toby is bad-the-puck-ass, too. Few too many “zombie” skins though (Shayne, phoebe, ghalt, rath, kleese, etc)Shayne and kleese are awesome about it.

Also Shayne’s new taunt makes me laugh and smile to no end, complete with music and razzledazzle lights lol.

Can’t quite tell what they were going for with orendi though. The bright blue and pink doesn’t look like ANYTHING. Cool to see her with clear skin at least. Maybe a t3 skinn will be her hatless.

I’m just gonna say as a ShayneMayne, it makes me giddy that her new taunt is just, the best thing in the whole game and makes everything else worth it lol

Ohhhh jeez, that skin!!! :fearful: I saw it and was like “I had a Barbie as child in the 90´s in that exact nasty colorscheme” - Its really…Ughhhhhhh :sob: I was very excited for Orendis skin, and though I saw that pink-teal thing on imgur.com before, but I hoped there was something else for her -.-

“Toby-fangirl”-skin = awesome! Also would love a purple/black/magenta one, or a bluish Sonic the Hedgehog-skin. Maybe even white/green/purple for a decent Joker-skin. Jailbird sounds great too!

Can´t stop laughing over this paragraph - it nails just perfectly what I first thought when seing her skin!!! Its just the marks on her face, looks very weird to me.
As for Ambra - the skin is cool, but her golden lips look…really strange. Its just putting me off, don´t know why :smile:

Totally agree that Attikus skin is perfect! Best one of all!
about Phoebe:

Hehe, my fiance said the very same yesterday ^^ Like that skin alot, I think I´ll get it when I mastered Phoebe (just 1level to go). I don´t like the pink hair, but at all the skin rocks.

Also: OMs & S&A´s taunts are hillarious!!!

For me, the Kleese and Deande skins are enough to make me consider getting around to actually unlocking those BBs. Marquis is a viable purchase, too.

Toby, Benedict and Oscar Mike all feel comfy, but not likely to buy.

Everyone else either doesn’t excite me or flat out repulses. Phoebe is ok, but goth is so over. I really wish they had done something with Montana like giving him a flannel shirt. That’d have been lots of fun. He is mostly skin, after all, so the regular skins don’t make as much a difference in appearance to me.

Under the marketplace tab in Command. You can also click on any of the characters in Appearance and view taunts and skins.

I’ve traded in my copy. If they aren’t going to tell us how they are fixing the game then I won’t bother keeping it to try later.

Only ones I think that are great are Phoebe’s, Gal’s and Rath’s new skin. But they arent worth whatever they cost. None of them are.

That literally would kill the idea of skins. Why would Shayne and Aurox have an America themed skin like Benedict does?

Also what game even does that in the first place for tier 2+ skins?

Of the ones I looked at, Kelvin’s is my favorite and I will surely buy that one. I get what they were going for with Orendi’s. It makes sense, but not something I particularly want to use, but I might because it changes her hand color dramatically where her others don’t (you spend a lot of time looking at her hands). Alani’s is lovely, but it isn’t the way I think of Alani, so I won’t get it, I don’t think.

The biggest surprise to me was the S&A skin. I couldn’t imagine what people were going on about since I love the blow your mind taunt. What could be better? Now I know. If I played them, I’d buy that in a heartbeat.

Kleese’s new taunt is…disturbing. I like his skin well enough, but I haven’t been playing him much recently.

Overall, I don’t think the people complaining that they aren’t worthwhile are not giving these enough credit. They seem well done to me, and the ones I looked at all had little touches that make them more than simple recolors. But this is a personal value decision people have to make.

Toby, Thorn, Attikus and Kelvin got the only skins that I think look good.

Toby’s is the only one that I am tempted to buy.

A bunch of them look like they should have been Shift code unlockables during Halloween.

Don’t get me wrong some of these look sweet, but i won’t pay 4 bucks, and as a person who likes collecting everything in games I’m not shelling 70 bucks for all of them.

I’ll give credit for: Thorn, Alani, Phoebe, Ghalt, Kleese, Toby, Ambra, Rath.

Ones that just got me scratching my head: Deande, Orendi, Whiskey, Boldur. Reyna, Marquis.

One thing nearly all these skins have in common is they are clearly stand out of the game setting/lore. While it is fun and used often in many other games, I’m assured it is too early to introduce such content after a month and a half - this game excels with its very detailed lore behind everything. Would be more appropriate to release game-themed T2 skins at first and wait a few months for these out-of-the-game styled skins.

I will not be buying any of the T2 skins most likely but at least the option is there. In Smite there are skins that you can never get and the game flat out tells you that. something along the lines of “this skin will never be available again”. Like seriously? I can’t even pay any amount of money for some skin that I love and that is bogus! I keep uninstalling Smite and forgetting why only to reinstall play a few games and check the skins and then get mad and uninstall all over again. I am super excited for the battleborn skins to come and hope there is a skin I love. Because I know I can buy it and not look at something I will never have and uninstall the game in a sad fit. Zoltan!

Those are the exclusive skins or event ones. The idea behind them is the uniqueness, the idea you have a skin that shows up that you are not new to the game and you were around when that event poped up. Something to brag about it if you like to.

I have Archon skin for Thanatos, for example, and I love to have it, the same as the last viking event skins for Kali and Chaac. Now I want the Aphrodite Witch one but man, I need luck or to get a third of that chest to get it :stuck_out_tongue:

I know is frustrating to want one and couldn’t have it, like Soulless Machine for Sol… Man, I hate to lost that event and the skin but… It is what it is :stuck_out_tongue:

I had that issue in another game. While I understand the concept, I think it mixes two things that are basically different: the “exclusiveness” value and the look itself. They can be easily differed and the issue will be avoided. Like, an exclusive title or another element, but not a whole skin. Or an exclusive skin and non-exclusive one available for all that looks same but with a few different details.
