Top tier characters

LOL I missed Toby! You are the first one to notice that too. He is definitely tier 1. Thank you!

@LinkZeppeloyd when did they nerf Benedict damage?

And Thorn, AND Thorn!

Thorn too, I’m horrible!

I was debating wth myself about this too. I’m still am. Ghalt hook + stun combo is truly useful and devastating in Incursion. You are right, a skilled player rarely misses those hooks (specially when he throws like 3 of them) and can make any character worry about it all the time.

Because people were (in my opinion as a Benedict player myself, justifiably) grabbing thier torches and pitchforks over his insane damage potential with hawkeye. It really came down to how devastating that extra 15% damage was in the hands of skilled Benedict players. I never needed the boost, and felt it was too OP for my taste (so i switched to WF for a while). The health buff was all he needed.

If you hit a single target with your ult it’ll do this

  1. Galilea has a pull. It’s aoe. And can stun right after for the same time. And it also silences and slows you. I don’t see why he should be so high up.
  2. His shield has not been nerfed. Ever. So I don’t know what you’re talking about. And he most likely wasn’t cheating, ik I can keep it up for long enough if I dodge carefully and Dash whenever it breaks.
  3. Fair.

You’re right, I looked at patch notes and his shield wasn’t nerfed. I thought it went from 2k to 1k, so is it still 2k? it felt to me like my shield went down within 3-5 seconds, doing 2k damage is easy. But the one I played against was constantly in the front, constantly shielding, and it never broke.

Benedicts damage was nerfed on August 18th.

It can be upgraded to 2k with a helix option at level 3 I believe.

All of the alt-fire shields (Boldur, ISIC, Galilea) are 1k by default and only increase to 2k with a helix choice. Boldur’s is special because his is so early (level 3, ISIC’s is level 7) and also allows him to move at full speed while he has it up (ISIC’s only improves the block amount; Galilea’s shield buff helix is level 7 but only gives a reflect chance).

There is nothing in the game that counters hook+pull.

There is no ability combo that is more deadly and applies as much pressure to any enemy team than hook+pull.

You almost can not ever follow up on someone getting ripped nearly 1500 units (rough guess) from where they were. I pull you off perch and nobody is going to save you if you land in a trap. I pull you through center from rock to corner and nobody is going to save you. I can run around the side and snag you from the tunnel and you will still probably die.

You wanna know why? Because I’m the bus driver and I’m handing out free tickets to hook city. The only way you don’t go is if I miss you in the crowd.

There’s a massive range difference you’re not getting here, also damage.

Ghalt hook is 133+360+60 a second in trap. Then on top of that you take 15% more damage + 40% extra from the bottom half of the clip full build. It is almost always a kill even when you don’t have team mate follow up.

Also Benny only lost 200 damage total off his burst profile. The character is still amazing.

The hook can be dodged by mobile characters very easily so caldarius and mellka can easily beat him. Pendles can sneak around his trap and attack him from behind. Ghalt is a fairly big target and runs slow making snipers by able to blast him with ease. Hook and trap is supposed to be powerful because it’s what his kits based around. Ghalt is powerful but he’s certainly not god tier.

Boldur is God tier.

I wouldn’t say he gets God tier Til axe mastery then he can go on rampages and be unstoppable

Yeah, when is he gonna get a nerf (in helixes) I feel the game is balanced but he is just to crazy

So just for clarification what would be the definition of god tier?

Basically can absolutely dominate and have no hard or even soft counters, and have all things like damage defense abilities be amazing

That’s in an optimal scenario, and assuming you take perfect helices. Galilea can pull anyone from a great distance so while you say Ghalt has the advantage of range, thats not necessarily true. Galilea has the advantage of more CC, more consistent damage, and a shield that can block damage when the going gets tough. Overall, I would say that he may be better. But he is not significantly stronger than her or any other character where placing him in his own tier seems necessary. Moreover, he has a large hitbox and no real defensive options. He also lacks mobility. When pulled, he is easily killed as he can’t do anything about it. He also has mediocre wave clear compared to Galilea’s much stronger sweeping hits. In essence, he can dish more but can’t take much. At least Galilea can improve movement speed, has great sustain, and can stun without throwing traps that bounce around.
