To be honest, I didĀ“nt made a screenshot ingame as usual for references, but used a concept art
I could not decide if I make the center bluish or green, so I asked all people I know to determine which color it might be^^
Is that center bit made out of a marble? Also it does look awesome.

Installing an LED into a sphere or a half-sphere is very difficult. Through the glass or plastic the gap between the LED and the sphere will be very noticeable, it would look like a sphere within a sphere, so your design is basically perfect.
Basically I dont see a way to make it light up withought it looking crap when it isnt.

As I was chatting with @xmngr about Krieg props, I remebered my Krieg collar I crafted a few weeks ago - hope you guys like it 
Its not perfect and my first attempt, but it was a load of fun^^
Pouring liquid clear plastic into an acrylic sphere might remove the gap between the sphere and the LED. Just a thought, still not something I would make.
