@Jim_Raven. Jim, you mentioned Company Man and Cyber Eagle but I dont see them in @00Schmidt changelog???

Are we working with two separate patches??

no its one patch but we work sperately so I have certain things he might not and vice versa

You know what i will have to double check it… yea we work separate and then combine cause me and schmidt have 10 hours difference between us thus when its night for me day for him and when i wake he sleeps etc so we try to communicate to the best of our abilities and then merge stuff. So far tho the only gun we did both conflict was too scoops :stuck_out_tongue: we kept schmidts version since it felt better.

There is also the possibility i just forgot to add it in the notes… Checking now will edit later

instead of editing the reply 5 times i decided to do a new reply for this. Company man is unchanged Yet all i meant is that it is designated as a drop. Below The notes There is a second Notes area which Contains Complete Loot Overhaul (CLO) changes. This is my baby project and my pride. Bassically that was the first thing when i though what could be fixed in tps. it was to add all the unobtainables and legendaries to a source. CLO Does exactly that! Because the changes are Numerous we kept the change logs seperatly for the Patch and CLO but they are merged in the same file

It is possible. We simply Up its DMG and remove The Continuous DMG bonus, Kinda feel it would break it tho. Will playtest it

I tried my best to make Wilhelm rock, and everything is just not on par with the rest.
They didn’t want to make him too special in such and such way, and by doing so they failed to make him good at anything.

I think the snowball is another good opportunity to make something cool instead of just something good:

I think in general, just buffing the damage is the lazy way to do this
We should make this game more exciting, more diverse, …more Borderlands-y :stuck_out_tongue:

Instead of increasing its damage, I think it would be much more interesting to massively buff its elemental effect chance: make it a ā€œfreeze on commandā€ kind of item.

Cryo is a great debuff, but it can be hard to apply, especially to enemies with shields.
Here we have a weapon that is balanced around a lot of things to justify what it gives: It has very low capacity (you can’t carry a lot of them) it has very small radius, its comparatively hard to aim, it has limited range and it’s slow (when compared to a gun).

Giving it something like 5X the chance to freeze would make it unique, niche, useful, very cool, usable at all levels and justifiable as a choice of reward.

Turn it into something that is used the same way the Magic Missile is used in BL2

The Major Tom is alright in my mind, it’s already one of the best ARs in the game. Tightening the spread and boosting the mag size is fine by me, but the damage boost is overkill IMO

Damage is all this thing has, buffing it is a waste
I would rather see it consume one less ammo per shot instead

Time to do something cool: this is a Vladof spinnigun, so it should shoot lots of bullets.
I suggest that ammo consumption be reduced to zero for a few seconds after each time it freezes something :slight_smile:

Increase DoT would be great, this thing needs to see play … I don’t really know what to do with it, but something needs to be done :stuck_out_tongue:

Considering that this gun already has a shtick, that it has perfect accuracy already, already no recoil and has no fire rate to speak of since its semi-auto, I’d be hard pressed to fins anything else besides damage to change on it … so I’m going with the same thing as John

That side bullet completely ruins this gun, just get rid of it completely

Is 30% enough in this case ? Not sure … this thing has a horrible pattern and spread, has a huge delay delay if you miss and has self-damage …
It needs a MASSIVE damage boost to be considered playable.
I’m thinking, if it did about as much as a ravager it would make sense. so … maybe 60% boost ?

The Torguemada is already, in my mind, the best shotgun in the game, period
Giving it grenade splash would be nice if it doesn’t already though … but this gun doesn’t need anything else

A mag size increase would do it more good since it needs a few shots to reach pinpoint accuracy.

… Ok, a few of my own

Make the frostfire Obtainable at all levels

Make the smasher (That Jakobs pistol you get at level 1) obtainable from normal loot sources …and buff its damage by at least 30% : it’s exactly like the Maggie right now, but with worse ammo consumption

Massively buff the Razorback’s damage

Replace the Proletariat revolution with the Infinity

Viral Marketeer: I think keeping it corrosive-locked makes sense (its viral… like the infection or whatever)
so I would change something else about it. Give it the same nova as the Oxidizer when your proc a corrode effect (so that it can ā€œspreadā€ to other targets)

Min-Min lighter: Massively boost its Dot damage (I think spreading damage in an AOE was the idea behind this gun, but the damage is way too low for that, so to avoid breaking it, increasing DoT is a way to make it better without screwing with base damage

Cat O Nine tails: This thing was re-balanced with a lower fire rate to compensate for its gimmick … but its overbalanced. Increasing the fire rate to just under what the normal version of this gun has would be a start. Tightening the spread on the ricochet would help tremendously

Why not change it to another element? Well, I hope it’s possible. I mean, fire is too specialized to few enemies, while maybe shock is more universal in this game.

LOVE that idea. I hate fire on VC…its not that good in TPS.

Shock would be way better!! And this is a capstones skill for crying out loud…it should be really good!

i am actually thinking Explosive tbh. There are still tech difficulties with skills and for now we will focus on Gears. Once we are in a confident state in our gear balance we shall move to skills.

Its Damage On card is on par with purple similar parted. What we did was something more simple tbh , We just made it Consume One ammo per shot. TBH it feels still weak to me due to its Firing pattern but for a lvl 1 gun is not bad. OFC i have allready given it to a quest as a reward But awaiting feedback on it

That makes it really just a poor man’s Maggie then… The same but crappier
Or like an iron: same damage, same ammo consumption…

I think raising its damage is a good way to make it stand on its own from both a Maggie and an Iron.
It needs to have higher damage than both of these for its ammo consumption :slight_smile:

All of these would be balanced and unique:

Iron: Normal damage, Accurate
Maggie: Higher damage, less Accurate
Luck Cannon: Higher damage, Accurate, much less shots between reloads
Smasher: Highest damage, less Accurate, more ammo consumed, less shots between reloads

You have to consider its a LVL1 gun tho. if we make it on par with maggie or luck cannon in a way it breaks it

A lvl 1 gun’s power doesn’t matter much: you’ll outgrow it by level 4-5 …which is about 30 minutes away

What matters is: is it a fun gun to play with when compared to other unique guns in the game ?

You can still give one at Level 1
As long as it can be obtained from the grinder or another loot source… And as long as it’s good enough (or at least different enough) to use.

If it’s exactly like a Maggie…but not as good… then it’s never worth using
It should do something different. Consuming 3 ammo per shot is different… there are no Jakobs pistols that consume more ammo. It just needs its damage adjusted to balance it out :slight_smile:
