[TTW] Disappointed with character creation in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands

Some cosmetic gear options besides shaders would be nice.

^ Re-above - in a badly worded way, i meant you can tell Tina is female but its not because she has her boobs on display XD
Besides - Ellie in Dragon Keep remarked on the player choice of armor pick by stating “this aint enough to cover ma saucy bits” but we still got the choice to equip it - theres cosmetics dropping that are interesting and im hoping more drop, but the launch content is very “catered” to the current trendy crowd, that much is true it seems.
That said, the game is fun as hell for me so far, even without the bikini armor :stuck_out_tongue:

Yupp there is not even one female hairstyle. I really don’t understand why.
And BTW a biki armor would be be nice

The bleeping of swear words bothered me at first … until I realized it’s because this is Tiny Tina’s Bunkers and Badasses game, and a lot of people are probably checking their language in deference to Tiny Tina.

At least, that’s my excuse, and I’m sticking with it. It’s rated T for Tiny Tina.

Eh, I think it’s gearbox execs looking to monetize more than make a huge project out of passion for the franchise. Kinda like what happened to Halo with infinite- Traded the soul of the game for monie.
Not that Torgue being censored wasn’t in the main games, but just a lot of choices they’ve made with the direction of this game and it’s game modes (looking at you, arms race)

Unfortunately I didn’t find any female hairstyles trough the game… Not one…

Female hairstyle?

it’s just not okay to give 10 male hairstyle options and not even one female. They give you the option to do a big masculine guy but I don’t have my option to do my cute female character . In the whole story I didn’t get even one drop with a female hairstyle. I got a lipstick… In blue… Wow…there are only 5 of them already. They made such a big thing with this character creator in their marketing, they promote it all the time, how awesome it is to create your own character. But it looks like it’s only okay to make a masculine guy or a masculine Lady on stereoids.

I’m curious, what exactly is a “female” hairstyle? I assume you mean more traditionally feminine such as Half Back length and crap you might see in Vogue, but I’ve seen plenty of hairstyles for women. There are at least 7/14 defaults (8 if you count the afro) that are shoulder length that I see women have all the time.

I get the impression that people are upset that you can’t have excessively long hair not that none of the hairstyles are “Female Hair Styles”.

Is there any info on what cosmetics can/cant drop in game? Ive found a ton of armor and lipstick along with a helmet and new skin color pack. But has anyone found a new eye shape, head shape, voice, nose, or mouth?

I was a bit underwhelmed with the starting character customization options. I know that this being a borderlands game they start you off with a limited selection and you get more options from drops and quest rewards; but all the hair options were all gender neutral, bald, and a mullet. And a mullet is never a good hair option for anyone. Gearbox has a history of making interesting hair styles on their characters in borderlands games. It is just a shame that they did a lackluster job for Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands.

Ahh but my boi, giving the CHOICE to people was never the goal of the ones in control.
They want to give you the IDEA OF CONTROL. With the illusion of the main concept.
Welcome to the world of the powerful, who decides everything and you don’t have no control at all just the illusion of it.

Why though? I want to be respected and accepted for what I am, and probably you do too. What’s so wrong about Paladin Mike that he can’t just be accepted for who he is? He didn’t do you or me any harm. He just exists and he has a right to exist and to be seen, no more or less than you and me.

It’s just a preference thing, you can’t make people like what they don’t like.
Oatmeal raisin cookies.

Especially given Paladin Mike is Lorilei’s character, that’s why it’s the same voice actor. Tiny says so before you even get to the city.

Are females not supposed to make male characters?

If that’s the case all the guys playing females should only roll males ones.

Sorry but there is only one hairstyle for females.
Of course Yes I am upset because I can’t have female hairs.
With female hairstyle I mean long hairs or braided hairstyle or something like that.
I mean come on you know how female hairstyles look like or not ?
When you want you can create a big, masculine guy but I can’t create a beauty… Sorry I don’t like to have a mullet hairstyle. I don’t even know if it’s the right English word for this hairstyle  sorry :joy: I can only create a big, masculine woman on steroids. of course this is not the end of the world and I play this game anyway in the end its not that important but it’s disappointing and little bit unfair to give the option to make a masculine male but there is not really a option to make a feminine Woman. More options for female face presets and female hairstyles with longer hair. This would be nice. Maby one day…

My wife would like to have a character she relates to. That includes feminine features and a curvy figure. I prefer to have a character I relate to, average height, average build. In fact I usually choose shorter characters because I was raised in a Dutch communuty and am used to seeing people much taller than my 5’9" self. It just feels more immersive when you can relate to your character. Whatever the shape and size.

And to be fair, if people are allowed to have a preference for whatever and whomever they want, then don’t shame them for preferring a stereotype. That’s for them to choose, not you. Condemning someone for preferring an idealized form is just another form of intolerance masquerading as enlightenment.

So, how about we agree that choice is important to people and leave out the self righteous idignation?

OK, so now that I’ve put a few more hours in to the game and customization item drops are thrown out like fun sized candy bars with higher loot luck, I tried making a feminine Fatemaker. Do keep in mind, that I have literally zero fashion sense and in no way consider myself skilled in the art of making pretty women.

The things I noticed that would help would be: the ability to make the face more round. Up close, you can really see the edges. Might need a cheek slider, and for once I don’t mean the badonkadonk.
Second, the hairstyles are all very short. Kind of strange that we have a lot of elven facial features but can’t have long elven hair? Make it straight, make it wavy (Unkempt Herald), make it curly, put it in braids (Raiders Braids), cornrows (Rows by Any Other Name), some kind of bun, hell even a ponytail; I’m not a woman and have no idea what other hairstyles people trying to make a feminine character would like…But it would be nice to able to control the length. I think only 2 of the hairstyles I have access to even go past the shoulders. I think short (most of the current hairstyles), medium and long would suffice, unless its really easy just to add a slider for some of these.
