This are my characters so far, all made with pretty much what you start with. I spend close to 20h in the character creator already, with just 10h of actual play time 
First my main. I tried to make this crazy combination of Thorn, Mara Sov, Bloodrayne and a Siren. Took me 3h and I think it came out perfect. Just need to get my hands on the high level Sporewarden armor for the fitting fluffy collar.
Then I tried to make my Eridian character. It’s supposed to look like the Guardians from Borderlands 1. Sadly it only works from the front and the female body is still to broad but what’s great is the Clawbringer’s shoulder pads are the wings from the BL3 Guardians so I made the body gigantic but the head super small. Turned out pretty well all things considered. Just have to change the colour to the Pearl White skin.
Then I tried to make a Shark dude. Sadly that was not possible. I just wanted to put the Sharkdog head onto a giant body, instead I tried making some bird dude. You have to think of the nose as a beak! I think I saw someone with a long nose akin to the trolls, ingame? That would be even better.
And of course I had to make a Darksiders character so Death it was. The jaw line looks a bit off, problem is Death does have a pretty big jaw but it is not so noticable because he is always wearing his mask. Thankfully I already saw someone using a cloth mouthpiece with a skull on it, which is perfect.
I also plan to use the spiky hair to make Strife but will wait what the 7th class will offer and i plan on making Fury too but have no fitting hairstyle as of yet…
Tried to create an Orc lady because I thought the one from the trailer looked just like a green Troy. Not so happy with the outcome, I hope that later on there is a mouth with tusks. Also I wanted to use the male body to look more like an orc but that would rounden out the jaw line so the body was perfect but the face would look way more human again 
Next one needs no introduction 
Oblivioulsy a Stabbomancer but I will use the Brr-Zerker armor to, again, get the fitting collar.

Lastly I thought we’re already playing a tabletop game so I went and made a Sister of Battle, from 40K. Looks better than my painted miniatures 
I changed the eyes and your go to white hair to black to invoke the look of Saint Celestine. Spellshoot armor with big body and tiniest head, for your servo armor look.
I’m also planning to make a 2th main, a custom Siren. Basically just Lilith’s initial BL3 design, which is basically Lorelai with red hair. I still have no fitting hairstyle for this though. The wavy sidecut that a lot of the NPC’s have would be perfect or well Lorelai’s or Paladin Mike’s hair. Hope, later I come across something fitting.
