Can you explain how is the water a part of the problem?
I am kinda done Berserker. Swinging the same attack became boring, leap ability doesn’t do much damage. Using this ability as a tool for initiation does not work well for me too, after leaping and dumping a mag of Helion I am without my shield and most of health and when trying to gain some distance to replenish both HP and ward, I get finished off by a boss. I am only on Chaos level 4.
I am using Berserker+spellshot combo, at the moment, because I have no idea what to do. Sure I can trash campaign map mobs (on CL4) with ease because of Helion and Clockwork pistol, but when it comes to bosses or even Chaos chamber trash mobs, I severely lack in damage department.
OK. After spending 45 minutes beating Dry’l to unlock Chaos 8, I think we have a problem with melee and bosses. Even when you min-max to the 9s, you are forced to use guns in certain situations and melee just won’t cut it. I think I’m forced to either switch to a gun spec or abandon my melee Brr-zerker altogether.
Well, I did an obvious thing and went with Berserker+Stabbo. The difference is significant. Sure my character is just a melee FLAK now, but being invisible allows me to do more melee damage unharmed, although Stabbo’s skilltree does not encourage pure melee combat - more like going back and forth between the two. Mobbing is even easier now, but in bossing department I am still missing damage, that being said, invisibility triggers Enraged mode, so healing is doubled which helps with survivability even more. All in all, lukewarm development of my experience.
Yep I hate the water in this game & how status effects work with it. Next time you see a puddle of water on the ground shoot it with any status effect weapon and then stand on it.
If status effect is on a enemy who is standing in a puddle of water there is a chance the puddle will get that status effect that will kill you.
I’m one shotting bosses on chaos 20 with my Zerker/Stabbo build & my only weakness is puddles
Yeah, I’m thinking of going Brr-zerker / Stabbomancer and giving up the Cursed Wit to use the Fatebreaker. Hero points will go into critical hit damage, status effects and action skill cooldown or HP / ward. Action skill can be Shadow Blade for ranged targets and extended damage to bosses.
With Fatebreaker sustaining us (possibly remove point in Unarmored Defense), Live Wire for crowd controlling melee, a Buffmeister or sigil for healing and who knows what else.
I wish Feral Surge threw barrels away rather than blowing them up and that it didn’t create elemental damage pools in water.
I had something of a breakthrough yesterday. I changed from Intense to Balanced and it made an immense difference. Then I had a chaotic cryo Twin Soul sword drop and things really started looking up. I rerolled it and it got the 50% ASS Frost enchant on the first try. From there, I started spending all crystals on particular bunnies in the Chaos Chamber and each time I got a significant upgrade to a particular part of my build.
I may need to change everything soon, however, because my damage included using Awe from the Clawbringer which has now been fixed. Man, I hope the class gets a buff soon…
Always have frost SMG x4 equip when play melee class. Hyperion highest crit and damage follow by Dahl then feriore.
Not fragments rain as it has limited range.
Hey man, just wanted to thank you for posting this build. Same problem, Chaos 7, and this made it MUCH easier to get through. Switching some enchantments around to boost status effect. THANK YOU. lol
