I have 2 mules and I don’t even want to deal with that. 50 mules??
I should have been more specific when I said 200 legendary weapons. Borderlands 3 has 122 legendary guns. The relics, shields, class modes bring the number of legendary ITEMS a little over
So you are going to use all these items in builds? I understand testing new stuff you find, but if something of the same type greatly outperforms it, why keep the underperforming item? Unless it’s for collection’s sake.
Why in the heck do you need 2000 items?!
You’ll maybe use 50-100 of them tops and there is only 200-300 legendary items to my knowledge so even collector wanting 1 of each needs 300 tops (for now)
If your farming for 2000 items you plan to use… You have too much time on your hand to play videos games. Go cure cancer or something

Yes I am. I make new builds on a daily basis. It’s never that one is better then another. They all have different passives, different rolls, different anointments. When I think of a theme I want to do a build on, I’m able to search through all my mules and grab items that fit it, because I have that variety available… Maybe for someone who plays one VH with one build and is happy with that (probably the majority of players!) that’s true. For someone like me, it’s not. I currently have 7 Fl4k builds fully geared (I make a new copy of it for the new build). I have multiple Moze copies fitted with thematic builds, multiple Amara’s etc etc.
For example… Say I want to make a build based on novas. Well I can go through my mules and get all the items I have that create novas, I can match passives to the VH strengths or strengths I want to exploit like say splash damage. I’m able to do this because I save the variety of stuff to be able to do it.
It’s people like us, that find exceptional synergies and then share them for people like you to use.
Even if they got all 122 legendary guns in all 5 elements, it still wouldn’t be 2000 guns and some legendaries only come in 1 element. They might test a bunch of these guns they collect, but I doubt anyone would use 2000 items on a regular base or make a build for every item in the game they find especially when 90% of the legendaries in this game suck. And the ones that are good are the few that survived Gearboxes nerf blow dart.
Well that’s a very ignorant not to mention toxic statement.
Don’t forget the anointments. And for the particularly finicky there might also be part variation. And not everything people might want to save is a legendary.
I get where they’re coming from. I still think they’re as nutty as a hoarder with every newspaper since 1973 stacked around the house along with twenty cats (most of them alive). But I get it.
I experiment with builds until I find the one I like for each character and then I focus on that build. And if I find something better for that build, I discard the underperforming item unless it’s worth keeping for collection’s sake. When the characters in this game have a lot of broken skills, there isn’t that many viable build options sadly. Most people I see run the same crit fl4k build or the same bottomless mags moze build. Until they fix the characters, I dont see the point in all these different characters having different builds that aren’t actually different at all, but to each their own I guess. As long as you enjoy what you’re doing, then it’s all good in the hood.
The only reason I said the word “ridiculous”, because why I’m sure it sucks that there is a cap on how many mules you can have, I dont think anyone should be complaining. 50 sounds pretty generous of Gearbox and I’m sure it would be hard for some processors to handle more than that, especially consoles.
An unfortunately popular misconception. It is what it is I guess. Most people that play the game just get builds off the internet, that’s why you see most people running the same thing. That does not mean that’s all thats viable, or even fun. It’s the reality of games like this. The majority of people play one VH play one playthrough and move on. People like me that replay the game 100’s of times are in the vast minority.
But those internet builds would not exist without people like Joltzdude who collect nearly every item in the game and test the hell out of everything then share the best combos they find.
Do you level them all to 50, as they can’t see over levelled items out of sanctuary?
Personally I level each VH to 50, play them through TVHM. Then copy the files for new builds. I do replay the game on whims just for the fun of it however.
Like I said earlier, I 100 percent get picking up everything to test it, but why keep it when something of that same style of weapon is underperforming compared to that of another for said build? Like you make a build based around incendiary smgs that have crazy reload bonuses. Why keep one incendiary SMG over another? Discard the one/ ones that underperform after testing.
Maybe one incendiary SMG has an anointment for Fade Away Fl4k. Then another has a Phaseslam, then another has a Phasegrasp then another has 100% dmg, then another has rakk anoint and another and another… There are so many variations of things in this game that can still be just as good as the other depending what you want to do with it.
Maybe one snowdrift has an auto idol, maybe one has a planetoid, may another snowdrift otto idol has a +33% aoe while another snowdrift auto idol has +health regen. They can all be just as useful and viable depending on what you are trying to do. This game has endless combinations of things like that.
One with a higher mag size for a BM Moze build, one with a crit bonus for a Fl4k, one with better elemental stats for Amara, not to mention various anointments, etc.
I call myself a Borderlands 3 no lifer, I play it any chance I get and I am on the forums for a little at some point every day, but you guys are on some other ■■■■ haha. I’m glad to see that people enjoy this game as much as me, even tho I would never find enjoyment hoarding every single thing I see.
So how many “Lobs” you own and how many are you planning on using this is a very important question.
I cant fathom any reason why you would need 2000 items… especially RIGHT NOW because if you you know anything about borderlands our lvl cap is likely gonna increase in new DLC meaning those 2000 super rare guns you have are gonna be useless when the level cap reaches 70+
I don’t think I’ve really kept any lobs if so maybe 1 or 2. Not really a fan of it. <3
I know very well that there will be cap increase and when that time comes then I get to do it all over again. Very excited!
smart correct answer
Pretty much the definition of insanity.
I get Boarderlands 3 is fun. I cant imagine how many times you kill the same bosses though. I love Bordrelands but farming Graveward for 7 days straight for 8+ hours at a time seems like the biggest waste of time a gamer can spend at this point. Wait for DLC before you go full blow pirate and bury treasure on alt you have no likely use for besides having them on in an inventory you never touch
Yeah I don’t do that. I have a Fl4k just sits at GW(his inv has nothing but 4 lyudas and the build he runs is specially tailored to kill GW/max damage zero survive) and when I feel like farming him a bit, I jump on that. I farm a very wide variety of bosses and on different VH’s depending on what I feel like doing. I don’t even always farm bosses, actually lately it’s the least thing I do. I enjoy running through places like Anvil a lot, Athenas etc… Lately I’ve been running the whole kill 25 ghosts kill Haunt loop. I like to do the Slaughters and all that as well. I would get bored real fast if I just did one of those things all the time.
Also about the definition of insanity, that is incorrect. That would be expecting different results
I always expect the same result:fun.
I have 84 mules so far shrugs
