I have this little beast and I like to think it’s twisted…it certainly performs well enough, but I’ll never know.

Hard to say actually. Tek body, mat3 Maliwan…and regular barrel 3 has some tech also. If it were HX it definitely would be I think

^ I know its a little late but yes that thumper is twisted, the calc says that if it was regular barrel 3 it would be a lightning thumper.

Well yeah but thats just because of the explosive dmg boost, I meant the parts and level were exactly the same.

Kurt, are you demonstrating that elemental smg’s with the “twisted” barrel don’t fire in the corkscrew or “twisted” pattern? Versus a non-elemental version with the same barrel, which does fire in a “twisted” pattern? If so, this definitely is a difference in the game that I never knew after playing the game for many, many years. I don’t know my parts very well in BL1 (you just can’t see them well enough for my liking), but I thought I knew how twisted or thumper barrels fired well enough to be able to tell the difference.

Sorry but I’ll answer for him -yes exactly. Twisteds on nonE- useless. Twisted on elementals- well…just twisted! (And highly teched out for maximum meltage, burnage, shockage, and blowupage. ) btw there is no thumper barrel. Thumpers have a variation of mag2. Cursed, wretched things that they are

Yeah, thumper barrels are the worst ever. I love it when I learn something about a game I have been playing for ten years! Thanks for clearing that up for me.

Thumper isn’t the barrel its a magazine type, mag1 specifically. You could have a twisted barrel and a thumper mag together.
