After about 300 hours in BL3 I’ve noticed two things that don’t happen as much as in BL1 or 2.

  • Being Barreled. I think I’ve been hurt by a barrel 3 times in BL3, none of which put me in FFYL. Much more dangerous in the others.
  • Falling off. I’ve fallen off once, off the windswept catwalks getting to the Agonizer. Getting to know 1 & 2 I fell off a lot.

Just interesting.

I think this is simply a result of barrels in B3 being more durable than in B2 and the Pre-Sequel, so they’re not blowing up from a couple of stray bullets flying around. Makes it a little more difficult to use barrels against enemies, but lessens the amount players get hurt by them.

The barrels I half agree with, only in places with jabbers do I get hit with them in any consistent way.

The falling off though. I have yet to complete the maliwan takedown due to falling to my death during the mid mini-boss duo encounter. And not just a few times. At least five times. Each time I am greeted with the failed message and sent back to the beginning like a chump.

My own fault obviously, and the only place in the whole game (so far) that I consistently die in.

It’s that new class mod, I am moving so fast, and not paying attention to the terrain. It’s the inertia that kills me. lol.

I feel I’ve slid off more cliffs since release than i had fallen off in bl2 simply due to the snowdrift relic; and thats with 3 characters at op10

Lol go get the crimson radios

Barrels definitely kill though? I’ve developed a high situational awareness for them (from playing with a lot of Blight Phoenix and the like in BL2). When I have eaten a barrel in this game, I got wrecked, but maybe I was in NVHM?

I tried to slide into that set of three barrels on that one ledge in the Anvil? They didn’t fly away, but all three blew up in my face. Maybe one’s not so bad?
