So the wife and I enjoy making videos of games played. I notice that when I cloak a blue UI shows on the screen. I have turned off the UI with the BACKSPACE and TAB keys but for some reason the cloak blue circle is the only thing that shows. Is there a way to remove this circle for a cleaner video?

Weird, I’ll look into that - no promises, but lemme see. You may be able to ‘edit it out’ with a local ATI edit.

BitVenom, check out this video to see what I am talking about:

I think that’s a cloaking area of effect field (or something) - and that’s not actually ‘UI’ - well, not exactly. So Tab (which hides/shows tactical overlays) or Backspace (which hides/shows the HUD/Taskbar) will affect that. I’m not sure you have any way at all to hack that to invisible, sorry.

I’ll have to think about how we’d add a non-hack tool or setting for hiding/showing that…

I woud not worry about it. It is a small thing in the grand sceme of things, I was only asking in case there was something I could do with settings or what not to get it gone.

Thanks for checking though!

Have you tried not selecting the carrier with the cloak gen active? In seems the globe is shown on other craft like the gravwells only when selected, if you have the overlay settings on the right option. It may very well be that you have to un-select the carrier to get rid of the globe.

I haven’t used cloak in a while so it may not work if it is active though, just throwing out ideas.

Just tested it and for me it was the tactical overlay setting that did it (tab). Here are some pics of the various overlay settings with the cloaked carrier.

Here cloak is active and the overlay turned off but the carrier selected.

Here the overlay is turned on but the carrier not selected.

Here the UI turned on and no overlay with the carrier selected.
