Unfortunately, I am completely done with this game

No hate. Where is hate factoring in here? Am I typing in red font?

Is this how it works? DO YOU FEEL THE HATRED??!?!?!

I’ve been scorned before for not taking into account my life isn’t like other peoples. I have too much free time and OP is allowed to leave. . i just wanted them to love the game like I do. My intentions are good

The drop rates are what is my main problem. I watch a youtube video the other day on a great load out so since I was off for 2 weeks vacation I decided to grind just for that gear to see if I could have that build , well you guessed right that I was not able to get anywhere near this youtuber load out then, I sent him a message on what did he get great gear then the truth came out that he did no grind just what in a discord channel where players dup the weapons over and over for everyone to have these load then to top it all off the youtuber attach the save file for everyone to have. To me this is not how I want to enjoy the game , I just want to do the grind and get the gear myself but after 2 weeks of grinding so many different bosses and getting nothing in return I just now play on M1 to enjoy being a little OP. BTW I have done the takedown solo which was even more disappointing to see that I got another woodblocker for the trash on the hardest content out right now. Did a test during the grind and 10 full runs on the take down gave me not one kyb’s wroth on M4. I have to say that is 8 hours of my life I will not get back.

Honestly my only issues with this game rn are the garbage drop rates for dedicated loot (like its great that its dedicated, its not great that Ill get 15 Malak’s Bane snipers before I get one Kyb’s), Moze having the defense of a goddamn piece of wet paper on M4 unless you run a stupid Bloodletter COM basically, Moze having a bunch of crap skills and the menu still lags after like 4 months.

If the OP wants to quit the game fine. No game is ever going to cater to everyone. However after reading their post I end up questioning just how much they actually played the game seeing claims that anointed gear is required to play on M4 when I’ve done this without issue on all 4 characters and could deal with the original M3 right after clearing TVHM. Saying IB basically gibs in 3 seconds when Auto bear generally stays out now for its full duration with no points in skills to boost IB’s toughness. Claims that the ā€œleveling grindā€ is slower and more tedious in BL3 than BL2 when you can easily hit lv 50 in BL3 before even hitting TVHM. More so now that we have the first DLC. To me it feels like they spent more time digging through this forum for negative things posted by other people following with a plug for a different game.

I have to agree with OP, especialy about the characters. I deeply regret buying the game and never even thought about buying DLCs. I finished Bl2 countles times and never felt like a chore, yet here I had to push myself hard to even finish second playthrough. It’s shalow, uninspired and higher dificulty is nothing more than bulletsponge. There is supose to be bazilion guns, yet you can find almost every single legendary from BL2 recycled here, again. Not to mention that horrible writing and storytelling. BL series ended with TPS for me and I am done with GB.

Eh what can be said, hypothetical;

You farm a single boss 100 times and gain X amount of useful Legs but not what you needed.

Another player spends that same amount of time clearing the entire planet of Eden and gain half the Legs that you did but they found the exact gear you wanted.

The idea (apart from dedicated drops) that farming is the goto source for good gear deprives a player of a lot of world drops or even just pure luck from a random container.

Food for thought

As far as I can tell people are not complaining about world drops…

But people are certainly leaving the game because of how anointed dedicated drops are currently balanced…

This is off topic but…

Wow really?!? That 1% of the game, the dedicated drops, turning people away.
Parables times;

One throws away the entire cake because the cherry on top isn’t handing them the gear 0.0

At this point I feel GB should just give away the items, directly to mail and cut out the middle part of ā€œPlaying the gameā€

Crazy

Have you played Mayhem 4 yet?

Yeah bro

My Moze is strong enough to melt M3 but not quite strong enough to play M4 comfortably

Well I for one have been, like many others, playing M4 exclusively for a while - most have done this with all characters. I started a bit late and I’m on my third.

After you have played the game this much (some doing 8 whole playthroughs…) then farming specific builds, anointments, buffs and guns is one activity that can keep some players engaged.

But just because of the number of variations in BL3 and the low anointment drop rate on legendaries - this can seriously de-motivate people - like the OP (and there are a lot of voices on this topic in many social media platforms.)

I take this thread as an indication that another player has just been burnt-out by poor anointment RNG.

This is real for some people.

No, people are leaving because their time isn’t being respected. One can only farm bosses for so long before it gets really old. Most players aren’t asking for handouts, if they wanted a perfect such-and-such they could easily buy it on those skeevy eBay sites or trade for it.

But when dedicated drops are the way they are… rare spawns appear like 1 in 10 times, the dedicated drop slot is 1 in 10 allegedly, and then 1 in 3 chance to be the actual item they’re hunting, then 1 in ??? chance to be anointed, and 1 in [amount of total anoints, the number of which is constantly growing with each new content drop] to be the right anoint… do you see how many layers of RNG everyone is fighting at the moment, and why that might not be worth people’s time to deal with?

Eh I like playing RNG, nothing is guaranteed in life. Borderlands shouldn’t be any different.

Personally I have a problem with people expecting to get what they want in a place of Random Encounters.

ā€œGuaranteedā€ defeats the purpose of ā€œRandomā€

I think both sorts of players can be accommodated.

You can continue playing however you want for you random experience.

And I will continue, like many others in the community, asking for some better dedicated anointed loot tables. Which still will rely completely on RNG, and will just mean that farming certain kit is realistically achievable.

I echo your statement, and have gone through many issues with the game myself, I got burned out real quick, did things too fast, I have 5 VH’s all on TVHM thats 10 full playthroughs, I have 14 mules thats another 14 playthroughs to get to sanctuary, my advice is take some time away from the game play the game you suggested, just this last week I have platinum’d 2 games on ps4, if something doesn’t make you happy then dont do it, I dont hate borderlands and I will play all the forecoming dlc’s and added events, but for me personally the game is stale atm, I came back the other day and was farming for ion cannons, did 6 runs, 2 drops went off the map, 1 went through the floor, 1 ended up on top of the structure and I got 2 that dropped normal (did they not learn from agonizer) there is no beating around the bush that the game needs fixing and totally get your frustrations. I just spend most of my time on the forums now and trying to help others on the trading section, I’m one of them guys suggested on previous posts that help others and never look for anything in return.

Enjoy the break and see you back here soon fully refreshed and revitalised

The uproar over drops is over the top and excessive, serious. I’m not telling yall to get good, I’m telling you to have more tenacity, fortitude and strive when everything seems against you.

People leaving the game when it is still a young baby is also over the top.
Take a break and come back in 6months, it’ll be changed and you’ll have new stuff to uproar about. Never ending cycle of discontent. Its sad

I’m not jumping on your back here, but until you experience MH4 there’s not much argument you can justify, from looking in @kabflash is trying to enlighten you, and you should take the constructive feedback on board, no one is denying you have a mega OP build for MH3, but the step up to MH4 is no joke

The feedback is serious and level-headed from other people’s POV.

Not everyone has the fortitude to play Diablo for 9 years…

Everyone is different, and people are entitled to think, post, and act differently. And no one is perfect or right about everything, so discussion can lead to improved perception (and because we are human sometimes thread meltdowns.)

There is a wealth of gaming approaches and perspectives to encounter on this forum. And sometimes the threads are hilarious. It’s far from doom and gloom, if people read all the comments in a thread…
