i’m with with the reward for m3-m4

why does UVHM = M4? Why not OP8 instead? Because in OP8 you needed the right gear to make decent progress - in fact you needed the right gear just to get to OP8 in the first place.

If M4 is too hard for a player then they can easily drop down to a lower Mayhem level, just like you could do in BL2 by dropping from OP8 to a lower level. If M4 was easy to do then people would just be moaning about how there’s not enough of a challenge and how BL2 offered much more in that regard…

Maybe you might be more successful farming Chupacabratch for it instead? I wouldn’t go to Graveward for a Hornet.

I would agree with this. I’m perfectly comfortable soloing BL2 UVHM. But OP levels are where I stop. I’ve taken a look, and I seriously doubt I would ever be comfortable solo in M4. We already know there’s a huge range in player skill and dedication - look at the folks soloing OP8 with level 72 gear, for example. Mayhem levels to me look like they were intended to be BL3’s OP.

I’ve been trading for weeks, like many others, as the farming is less effective… Just think about that. It’s easier to get loot by not playing shoot and loot. Is this boarderlands intention? I doubt it.

This is like ‘Legendary Weapon Tycoon’ with the worst menu navigation and load times I have ever seen. I mean I’m 43 and even the Amiga had faster ways to navigate menus.

I’m not against biasing loot pools towards certain weapons month by month to add diversity.

But seriously I think the data shows that farming is not yet streamlined to please enough people.

And if they did release a battlepass considering the state of loot drops, people would just make one conclusion…

I am very interested to see what happens over the next few months.

M4 perhaps is equivalent to OP (theorizing here, never made it to OP in BL2), but lower Mayhem is really not that daunting in my experience - I’m messing around on Normal M2 now and it’s not really stressful (unless extra projectile modifier shows up…).

And I did not excel at UVHM for the reference, so it’s not like I have awesome skills, best gear, or super optimized build. It is easier to stuff your backpack with orange items in BL3, though, perhaps I just got lucky somehow…

LOL.
The Amiga was a great computer! Loved psychnosis games!

That alien is just trying to reproduce and that ship just came to mess him all up.

Love it… :joy: great memories.

When it comes to text and navigation and gameplay…gamers want fast…

Man if stunning graphics were so important how is it that mobile games are making more money, and so many people still love the gameplay of less visually impressive titles…

BL mobile would be great - stick the micro-transations in there - to pay for the real game…

yes the only character I could comfortably solo at OP8 was Maya but with Axton I stopped at OP2 - at some point the difficulty overtakes the fun factor and you need to play the game in a way that makes it enjoyable. I did M4 for a bit but found the enemies too tanky overall and it became too much of a chore. Dropped to M2 for both FL4K and Amara and it’s back to being fun again - not too easy that I don’t have to focus, but not too hard that it feels impossible to do. But there are lots of people better than me who run through M4 without a care in the world.

This right here sums up what I was trying to say completely.

It’s all RNG.

This is my roommates first Borderlands. Shortly after hitting level 50 she got a Cryo Anointed 125% Damage to Badasses/Bosses Tediore homing mirv pistol and a phaserker class mod.

Needless to say M4 is almost too easy for her.

I run a Infinite Ammo zane in tandem and we can pretty much walk through any content without fear of dying.

These are fresh PS4 save files with under 100hrs played.

I played most of the side missions, but most of them arent rewarding or fun. Also, people liked borderlands 2 side quests because the legendary rewards were actually decent and usable gear. Meanwhile, 95% of Legendary quest rewards are unusable, and the 5% needs to be farmed for hours to get a good anointed variant.

Read the above post I wrote.

that’s the big issue right now i think the game needs just little fix in some point and

It depends very much on what you consider to be end-game activity and the level of challenge you want to experience.

Those who want to pursue the hardest content on the hardest difficulty level (eg M4 Takedown) get frustrated because currently the only way to get through is to have specific gear with specific parts and specific anointments, and the random generation of all those makes it extremely time consuming to farm the items you need.

Those who prefer playing at lower difficulty settings or even just starting over with a new character and trying different things while levelling up (different skill focus, allegiance builds, found-gear only runs, etc.) don’t have the same problem, because we’re not as dependent on getting the exact set of parts and anointment to be able to do what we want.

I appreciate the reply, but I feel like that adding more items and gear wont fix the existing problem with farming. I feel like the viable solution to the problem is make mayhem more viable for different builds without days of anointed farming, which they could be doing with the revamp.

It will be interesting to see which way GBX take that. Do they make it easier to get or even change anointments (as has been requested many times)? Or do they change the factors that contribute to overall difficulty (types of spawns, modifiers, AI tactics)? Or both?

Thats a massive problem for the game if you have to pay for the Battle pass. Games like fortnite have successful battle passes as the game is free. But Borderlands 3 is a 60 dollar game with an additional 50 for the season pass. Imagine needing to pay a constant flow of money for a battle pass along with that.

i thinks the battlepass will be something buy for ones like 10 dollar
