Agree…for min/max…but for all intents and purposes…Almost anyone/everyone will use a DPUH regardless.

And with all the other improvements to other things in the game by Shadow…other choices do emerge for Axton…which really haven’t been there before.

Is he still the best at Explosive/Grenades with or without Explosive BoA…probably. Is he superb with AR’s like I think was originally intended…NO…not really.And let’s face it…with that cooldown an Elemental Damage Bonus Bones are and will probably always be the BEST relics in the game.

But Shadow is giving players more reasonable choices…which I love. A Playbale AR based Axton at OP8 8 would be just fabulous.

Didn’t he already change the Opportunity to an overall speed boost? Or am I thinking something else? Shop time…you are right…total waste.

I did, I have better ideas though if movement speed isn’t enough

Make an Explosive Bone a Seraph

Replace Breath of the Seraphs.

Does ANYONE even use it?

If it’s a prided relic that has meaning to a certain character, please ignore my suggestion.

I might make a relic about action skill duration, I found that attribute but I haven’t tested it.

Hmmmm do I give up cooldown or go with increased Action Skill duration? There are situations for both needs throughout the game…Like it.

Buuut…I’m a greedy old grunt and still would LOVE an Explosive BoA And if folks are worried about it being OP…then just reduce the Max cooldown to say Max at 25% at OP8. And by being a Seraph…it will take folks a while to get one…and encourge end game raiding for crystals.

In Fact, Shadow…ALL your changes to Seraphs and Pearls have increased the End Game value of play. WELL DONE!

I do use this on occasion (though I may be alone in this and if so I’m just sitting on the sidelines here so do go ahead!). How about the Vitality Relics, does anyone use those? I use Blood of the Seraphs instead as it’s better than just max health.

No no no! Keep it!!! I need that relic for Rocket Jumping. I will be able to do much better runs with it.

I want to add a personal little feedback if you may, though I don’t play on PC, so you would have to take my idea for what it is: a purely theoretical one.

Like you, I think the Volcano deserves to be fixed, that leaves no question.
But I think that just boosting its damage and splash isn’t the right way to do it, lemme explain.

Doing so makes the Volcano a good gun…albeit a very normal boring one… it’s just a stronger Snider… nothing cool there.
Instead, I think it would be a great opportunity to make it something very different and interesting.
Being a Maliwan legendary, elemental damage should be the focus, and it kinda is in a way: it has wider splash already.

I suggest reducing its damage to its original value and return its splash to 80%
Instead, boost its DoT damage to about the same level as the infection (or maybe more since it uses sniper ammo rather than pistol and it doesn’t have roughly 80% chance to proc.)

It would make the gun truly different (in a classic borderlands fashion), would still be totally in theme with Maliwan weapons in general and instead of still being a poor man’s Pimpernel or a buffed Snider, would have a different niche, and a very interesting one at that.

It would make sense on Maya, on Gaige, On Krieg, would be awesome in normal and TVHM, would still hold its own in UVHM and with the right build, could work wonders in OP8 and help make DoTs relevant at higher levels.

That sounds great, IMO.

What was done to the Storm again? Could a similar thing be considered for it?

The storm got about a 25% increase in DoT and a sizable raw damage boost, but in the storm’s case that’s enough, because it works different than almost all other guns in the game: its DoT scales with its damage rather than being fixed, so boosting its base damage ALSO increases its DoT. I don’t know if the Storm’s boost would be considered satisfactory for most, but I think it is better than it was and no matter the numerical values, it would still be a very different gun anyway.

For the volcano, I’m talking about a 300% increase or something :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh, I didn’t know that. I guess it got a lot better and more interesting to boot already then. I might give a shock based sniper Zer0 a try when I get around to trying this patch out.

Patch it in anyway. We can set aside the code for the explosive bone, to a separate text file, so that it will not get in the way, when we want to use the other three bones, while using the rest of the patches.

In fact…Once Shadow has released the 2nd version and I have finished all my OP8 Zer0 play…

I am going to start a new Commando and take him from 0-80 with the patch in force just to truly enjoy this new experience.
