Well, Jakobs weapons are known for being made partially of wood, so that should make them lighter compared to other weapons. And, recoil, if I recall correctly, is determined by three factors: gun weight, initial projectile velocity, and wielder strength/resistance. Lighter weight gun, and faster exit velocity, results in higher recoil. I don’t have experience with firearms either, so I can only assume, that lighter guns should be easier to stabilize.

What do you guys think about incresing the Hellfire’s DoT…a LOT…so it compares favorably with the BL1 Hellfire
Nah, leave the Borderlands 1 metas in Borderlands, no need to break the gun.

I never use it because it is too slow to kill…and it’s a Legendary for crying out loud…It should be GOOD!.
So you are saying leave it alone because it is something special to BL1…that game’s mystique. OK, I get that.
Can you agree to do something to it to at least make it valuable now.
As it is it is vending material…at least to me…
Others please chime in if I am all wet on this.
It’s a fire plasma caster that consumes 1 ammo per shot, I can’t complain to be honest.

Fair enough. My impressions are not everyone’s impression that’s for sure.
shadow…I have worked on some code for the Scorpio.
Do you mind if I PM it to you for an impression.
Please don’t laugh if it’s terrible LOL
I learned different skills than you in my youth to say the least.
And please don’t be afraid to say no thanks…understand you are busy.
You can add me on steam if you’d like, easier for you to message me.

I think Hellfire is a little bit like the Volcano. In BL1 both just melt the opposition. I really liked @Chuck80’s suggestion for the Volcano and I’d think something similar could be done with Hellfire? Both of those guns are about burning your enemies to a crisp after all.
BL1 strength? No thanks. It’s not straight comparable, I guess, since BL1 has DOTs stacking on top of each other if I remember correctly.
But having a stronger DOT does fit that guns profile, IMO. I think it’s at least worth considering. If this kind of change would make it objectively stronger than Plasmacasters then maybe lower the bullet damage a little so they are a bit differentiated by where their strengths lay? It would probably take some numbercrunching to find a balance between the two damages that would both feel satisfying and unique while not pushing other gear to the sidelines.

Since I am kind of an “old timer” around here…
I have started to contact separately folks whom I consider to be the game’s better players from the old days and now…and inform them about the patch and ask for input.
Many are totally surprised and knew nothing of this. A lot have “moved on” but perhaps we will see some old friends back…who knows.
Two of the best Commando’s I know, bew and Demonite have joined us…I know that Luke (MoLMF) and Bahroo have visited as well…I look forward to more.

I have a suggestion. Flint’s Tinderbox. It would be good to have it with a nice stacking dot and splash buffs.

Not sure if this is possible and I know it would not work with the borderlands 2 story line. But what about swapping all bandit weapons with atlas weapons or S&S weaspons from borderlands 1. I know the community complained about atlas being taking out of the game. It would give a huge amount of variety to all the existing changes already. Maybe the possibility of mashers and anarchies would be amazing, if that is even possible.

I think he mentions he is going to do that somewhere in the video…I might be wrong on that.

So I spent a good 4 hours or so testing some things out, more so things that would affect me. It’s pretty solid I like it quite a bit. There are more changes that don’t necessarily affect me but for the most part, it’s very bueno.

It IS good work…
More options at OP8…more choice…more variety!
I mean the Cobra fix alone is huge.
An Explosive Sniper worth a crap…
What a concept!! LOL

I feel the Carnage, Retcher, Slowhand and Orphan Maker could use the ‘vertical grip’ treatment the Butcher and Flakker got (they are probably even more in need of it).
As it is the Carnage, Retcher, Slowhand are only decent with the vertical grip. Without it they deal as much as 3 pellets of a Ravager. Especially the Carnage since it is a pearl, and one of the rarest in the game.

There are things that could be good for the game in general, if making it is possible. @shadowevil1996

I am curious about something @shadowevil1996
Can the weapon accessory also be tweaked? For example making the Jakob’s stock less bad or even making the firerate prefix a bit better so it can hang with the damage prefix for certain guns.
Also the Yellow Jacket, buff it.
Well, I can but the problem is that there are some stuff that I can’t touch because it just makes the game feels less vanilla, if that makes sense.
And I can note that down.
