Unpopular: game breaking new shields, bugs and UI problems

For boss killing i assume you could use BOTH… Like trigger the 0.m and then switch to the internal wish to get double the pellets, I’d assume the circle would still be there when you don’t have the 0.m equipped

Sure, but I was referring to the damage formula here. I was more interested in knowing if an additional projectile with doubled bonuses would out damage the same shot but amped 120%. I feel like the results should be similar, elemental projector aside…

To be honest even if they would nerf Re-Volter down to 50% I would still use it on my Amara.

Moze can’t really use it properly so I’m sticking with Beskar since it works really well with Deathless+Bloodletter+Urad.

My Zane is still in the story progression in TVHM but I can see myself picking up Re-Volter on him instead of the Transformer I’m using currently.

But yea I’m curious to see whats gonna happen to some of the new stuff, as mentioned before that Soldier shield is also pretty crazy atm. ‘Also great for running to bosses/farm spots quickly so I hope that part stays’

I get you but I’m really convinced that right now those two shields are just too much. If they balance the Re-Volter and the Infernal Wish however, then it could actually give us a nice variety as far as damage boosting shield selection goes. I see it roughly like this:

Amp shields: good for hard hitting single shot weapons (slow firing pistols, sniper rifles, shotguns and rocket launchers).

Old God: good all-round but small passive bonus to your preferred element.

Infernal Wish with say added projectile every 3rd shot or so(maybe even 5th considering elemental projector synergy): good for all your automatic weapons (SMG’s, assault rifles and fast firing pistols).

Re-Volter balanced to somewhere between 50-100%: a nice all-round somewhere in-between a permanent and situational buff, but with the added bonus of boosting your melee/grenades/action skills.

Having a much more balanced and varied choice of offensive shields like this makes a lot more sense to me. As is though, there are just two shields in this game, the rest are tokens.

For all the game’s flaws (of which there are MANY) I actually started liking the fact that somewhat ununtentionally (not giving them credit seeing how they half-ass through almost everything) the game startet to allow for a myriad of different end-game builds none of which was necessarily better than the other. Until those two shields came out we had a situation where you could comfortably pick a gun you enjoyed, build around it and end up with a solution that was balanced in relation to all the other choices available. All this ended when DLC 6 dropped.

I would have left it as unlimited stacks but cut the decay right down, maybe to 1 second or less, thereby limiting the max stacks that way. Would be impossible to build up, and importantly, maintain high stack levels. It would become a short action high boost to damage.

Yea that sounds reasonable to me and I would be okay with those options.

I used to roll with Old God on Amara for a long time then I got tired of refarming it with multiple elements and having to switch depending on what I’m farming.
After that I was using Plus Ultra till Re-Volter now, so yea even with just 50% it would be an upgrade damage wise.

For the most part I’m actually okay with the game in overall, hence why I’m new on the Forums since I was just playing the game instead. ‘have it since day 1 on EPIC’

My main issues were/are technical related like the messed up UI parts on 21:9 display which works once then they mess it up in the next update for whatever reason.
And now the missing CoV skins on EPIC but that was resolved as of today ‘for me at least’.

Big nerfs I’m not necessarily a fan of but I understand that some nerfs/fixes were needed.
Sure the old Recursion was fun on Amara but it was broken as hell, just to mention one.

In this case if Re-volter gets a nerf I won’t complain cause yea it is 200% and a lot easier to get than 150% Urad on all my weapons for Moze.

The revolutionary thing about ReVolter is that it can be combined with ASS to act as an ASS shock.
This means that ASes like FL4K’s Guerrillas in the Mist and Amara’s Ties that Bind, which take a fair amount of time from skill activation to completion and can still deal damage during that time, can be enhanced with only shields from the moment the AS is activated.

In the past, we had no choice but to use shields coated with 50% Elemental dmg because there were no other candidates, but as you know, these did not work while the skill was active, but only after it was finished, so it was meaningless.

However, when using this shield, the value of my shock attribute gun was significantly reduced.

I just did some testing and it seems that at the very least the elemental projector bonus doesn’t apply when lit by Infernal Wish - total disaster averted. Still, this doesn’t change how broken this shield is (it’s an Anshin so it can roll with 2xAMP on top of everything else it does…). Can anybody else run their own tests and confirm to be sure ?

I get it. But why break with the way kill skills on Zane work altogether? There’s a system to that and a lot of his skills are boosted so now it’s just inline with that.

I would be hard pressed to use either of these shields if I were going Deathless TRL Moze. No health gate, better off with a Madcap

Hands down the meta shield for BL TRL Moze is Supersoldier, nothing even comes remotely close. Immortality, super speed, insane fire rate. BL moze is always has shield capacity and is always refilling so even without the Phalanx bug it’s 100% uptime.

Moze can earn 465%x2 + 600% damage boost with only 3 skills using the scaling bug.
There is no need to earn the error of about 100% boost of Revolter
I’ll be watching from on high as other characters desperately try to equip Revolter.

Super soldier with that build is broken on Moze. Give it a go and have fun while it lasts!

Yeah I know its crazy, have one but its like an unpopular thing on my side.
I don’t like too fast movement speed while actually fighting idk its uncomfortable, only use movement speed buffs to go from A to B farming spots.

What I might try on Moze before its gone is the extra projectile shield, could be fun having double plaguebearers.
Even tho I’m perfectly fine with my Beskar.

I’ve been running a build on moze with the infernal wish and bloodletter to get double projectiles and its really good and lots of fun with the right weapons, the weird but with the effect not activating tho is super annoying and i hope its fixed soon

For some reason GB refuses to do something with amara and the playerbase need to rely in stuff broken like the re-volter to make her more viable.

I’ve thrown together a build like this using a uRad hellfire. This normally subpar gun now shreds. I’m currently scrounging eridium to reroll my corrosive kickcharger to uRad.

Amara with the revolter is good fun - with her new class mod and the new arms race launcher is so much fun. Need to get enough eridium to roll the launcher 300 / 90!
The super soldier seems more defensive too me - you can’t die it seems but you will chew through your ammo so it has a down side
The Infernal wish just screams moze to me - I haven’t had a chance to try it out yet but a bottomless mags / bloodless build with a flipper seems like it be completely OP - this one is definitely kinder on the anointment side of things so good old farming rather than re rolling is the way to go I think

Yup Re-Volter + new class mod on pure Gun DMG old school Amara builds is a lot of fun.

I’m running Arms Race on my Zane now cause I need some stuff from there and meanwhile I visited the chest for Infernal Wish.
Got one for the first try/chest open and put it on my Urad/Bloodletter Moze.

Have to say this thing is busted, blasting x2 Urad Shock Backburners under Wotan’s ass I almost felt bad for it. ‘True Takedown Version’
I was already doing good DMG on my Moze but with this, yea its just not even fair at this point and I’m concerned that it might spoil me.

Infernal wish is amazing to make slow guns viable, its actually good design. HOWEVER they need to make the burn more harsh so faster guns CANT ABUSE IT, they tried but half assed it. This shield should be balanced to be only viable for guns with 3 fire rate or lower so it doesn’t get game breaking.
